    Great picture in store needs4k signal at home

    We thought we had to replace our current 65" Samsung due to volume control problems. I went to eat by because they have the absolute nicest and professional sales staff that we have found over the years and we have bought many tv's so we typically know what to ask. The tv in the store on display was phenomenal the color and clarity was amazing, better than any other model except one which was 5000.00 more than the 2600.00 on sale model which I happily bought. We have the new tv installed on the wall where our previous 65" tv was and I immediately noticed the sound and picture was no where near the quality of the demo in the store. Our installation person said we had a problem with our att cable box so contacted att and sent a repairman the same day. The repairman replaced the cable box which would have fixed our old tv and thus we didn't even need to replace our old tv, thought well it would be a good time to upgrade anyway. The Att representative said that why we are not getting that incredible picture is that 4K service is not available in the DFW area and only available from a obscure satellite company. My disappointment is that we where not told that our picture would be know where as good without 4K service. PLEASE see if you can get 4K service before you buy this tv or you will be truly disappointed.

    BAD JUDDER, flicker, and WIFI problems.

    I will start with the bad and work my way to the good. First off, this tv has VERY bad judder. This occurs when you turn off the "soap opera" effect or have it active. Was watching a dvd and this was occuring. It was also occuring when watching blurays and ultra hd discs. When things move very fast during "soap opera" effect there is a sort of flickering going on as well. This is noticeable when someone moves quickly and their head flickers somewhat. My current 55 inch lcd doesn't do this and costed MUCH less. Please also note that anything less than 720 or 1080 is going to look terrible on this set. I was watching a show on dvd, and it looked kind of pixelated. The image was not as nice as my current set ( and again, my current set is half the price). Wifi connectivity is a BIG problem with this set. Everything else in my house plays just fine using wifi except this tv. It connects, but cannot stay connected. It cannot play 5 minutes without a problem. It then says it's not connected, only to then say it's connected again 2 seconds later. I have never had a device give me such wifi problems ever. Called samsung support, and they could not get to the bottom of the problem. Now with the good. The set is very attractive. The design is very stylish, and I like that the frame is so minimal. It is more immersive that way. I also like the way the samsung logo lights up. 4k sharpness is very nice, and the colors are beautiful. It's just too bad that all of these postives are eclipsed by what I consider to be deal breakers. Took this back and will wait for something better to come out in the future.

    Good picture but...

    I purchased this TV a few months ago and it has a lot of great features. I was looking for something bigger that my previous 51" samsung plasma after doing some remodeling. The tv is good but it does need some tweaking to improve the picture and honestly my 3 year old plasma is still a better picture. There's lots of blurring on fast motion pictures and if you try to correct that then the contrast and blacks end up looking bad. I probably should have saved the money up for an OLED tv.

    The tv is very nice when it comes to color and brightness. However with such bad motion handling to me it doesn't matter how good the rest of the tv is. No matter the settings motion blur and other motion related issues would not go away.

    Picture dark with HDR content through steaming ser

    Picture is dark when watching HDR content through streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ making dark scenes virtually unwatchable. When watching in SDR the picture is fine. No matter what settings I change the picture is still dark for HDR content so Samsung seems to have a local dimming issue when watching some HDR content. Other than the HDR issue the tv has been great.

    Vertical Line on screen after 33 days

    This TV was delivered to us the first time on July 1, 2016 from the Folsom, CA store. It didn't work so we refused delivery. A second TV was delivered on July 6, 2016. After 33 days the TV has developed a black vertical line from the top to the bottom of the screen. We called Best Buy and spoke to Matt. Best Buy won't replace the TV because their return policy is 15 days. 15 DAYS. This is terrible service. We had ordered another TV from Best Buy this week for another room in our home and we are canceling that order. We won't be doing business with Best Buy again.

    Waste of money

    From the beginning, didn't care for the one connect box. We had the tv for about 33 days and a tiny black pin line appeared across the center of the tv. Best Buy replaced it with a brand new one even though technically they didn't have to. Ok, maybe it was just a bad tv. It could happen. We had the tv for about 2 1/2 years longer and there were white faded areas that began to appear across the bottom of the screen. First there was one and then more began to appear. We've had the tv less than 4 years. We bought it when it first came out and paid a nice price for the new technology. Recently subscribed to Discovery+ only to find out that the app is not available on this tv. I don't even like the remote it came with. It's just awkward and because of the way it's made if someone accidentally hits it the wrong way it will turn off. Gotta make sure it's put away if the family is wathing a movie.

    All that being said. Absolute terrible interface. When you choose tv, music netflix, tv goes through time consuming search. Makes no sense. Lot of times when trying to use pandora, netflix, tv cant find app! Had professional set up system so have to believe just not user friendly. Have top shelf vizio tv in bedroom ( 2 yr old) no such problems. In todays tech world a seamless interface should be a given!

    Too Smart for Me

    Love the picture, but the "smart" TV is very stupid when it tries to manage my various input devices automatically. I wish it would just stop. Every time I turn on an attached device, the TV turns off the current input source and switches to the alternate - not what I want. Every automatic software feature is over-engineered, and config options are lacking.

    Beautiful Picture for Three weeks

    I read all the great reviews on this TV and saw the picture quality and knew this was the TV I wanted. Two reasons I have this a 1 star First, I bought the TV and had a mount of my own to use. After getting it home and reading the manual I realize the TV uses a very specific size bolt 43-45 mm to mount on a wall and it also has spencial attachment washers. I had to go searching for these bolts which weren't easy to find and neither of my large screen tv mounts had bolts of this type. Secondly we bought this TV to reduce the amount of electronics we need. We mainly watch Netflix but today the Netflix app has stopped working (turna black)and after a long search online apparently no one knows how to fix it at Samsung. Can't reinstall it or update it. It just doesn't work.

    Everyday HD content problems

    I did extensive research before making this purchase, Consumer Reports, Rtings.com, and Amazon and Best Buy reviews to name a few. i kept coming back to this. The combination of the size, reported picture quality, and reasonable price were the factors that made this TV my 1st choice. However, once I got it home I was very disappointed. The picture clarity and color on the cable channels that I watch every day was very poor. I spent hours trying to tighten everything up by tweaking the settings and picture modes to no avail. Also spent time on the phone with Best Buy, Samsung, and Verizon Fios (Verizon also came out to the house to look at my equipment and TV set up). After all of that I still had a less than HD picture. In the end had to pack the whole thing back up and take it back. Really disappointed, I have always had a great experience with Samsung TVs so I am surprised that this one went this way.

    Multiple Bugs

    I bought this television (65") in August of 2016. There are multiple bugs that will not go away including: 1. Sound cuts out for a second or two a few times per hour 2. Intermittent (infrequent) picture distortions/artifacts 3. Amazon native smart TV app has aspect ratio issues (stretched vertically) 4. TV Apps freeze (amazon, netflix) and crash. You have to exit and go back into the app, navigate to what you were watching and then resume. 5. TV often turns back on 30 seconds after you turn it off. You have to wait for it to happen and turn it off again. 6. TV continues to send sound to the sonos soundbar after the TV is turned off. You have to turn the TV back on then off again until it sticks. 7. TV sometimes goes blank and freezes. you have to unplug it and replug it to get it working again. Other than these things, its a beautiful TV with a great picture.

    Samsung screen peeling off

    Samsung doesn’t have quality. TV screen is peeling off. Screen is glued by the edges. This has happened to so many customers. Do not buy Samsung TV’s.

    The TV itself is a great product, it has different viewing settings i.e. Sports, Movie & a normal setting. I find that the sports setting works good for all viewing clear and bright picture. Now let's talk about service, the salesmen including the home theater crew and the Geek Squad does not now too much about any technical questions they told me to call Samsung directly, I was very disappointed after buying the extended Geek Squad warranty, the salesman said they could answer any question I had, that's not the case, they wouldn't or couldn't answer my question over the phone, they wanted to schedule an appointment to come out and discuss the inquiry I had, just another way to change you. I would recommend the TV but not the Geek Squad. I gave this two stars not because of the TV but because of the service.

    I really like this TV but it has a huge flaw.

    I really like this tv, the picture is amazing but I cannot get past a major flaw it has when it comes to its sound settings. The problem is the tv will not retain its sound settings so if you connect this tv to a sound bar or surround sound receiver it will somehow forget the sound settings. Which forces you to go into the menu to change the settings back to HDMI ARC every time you turn the tv back on! Samsung is aware of this issue but so far they have refused to do anything about it. This is a major flaw for a tv as expensive as this that is supposed to be one of Samsung's best. Until this is fixed I cannot recommend this tv to anyone.

    Disappointed

    Well I don't get it. I bought this TV based on the glowing reviews and fine Samsung reputation. My old 47 inch Vizio had crystal clear HD hooked up to the same Direct TV box. I can't a get clear display no matter what settings I try. Even had Geek Squad set up the TV.

    Don't buy it!!

    I was debating on buying this tv or the Sony XBR-65X850D. Based on some of the reviews I went with this one. Worst tv I have ever purchased. The picture is clear and sharp. I was impressed with that. Within a short period of time judder began to appear. It would stop for a few minutes then start again. This was on all types of input!! I actually could not watch it! Spent 3 days of adjusting it. I packed it up and returned it to Best Buy. I was treated very well and exchanged it for the Sony. Everything about the Sony will blow you away. Do your homework before you purchase a tv!
