The television is excellent quality but the sound is not to good. You have to have the volume on 40 out of 100 to hear clearly.

Thank you for your review of this Samsung KU6290 TV. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with picture quality.

Please know that it is a 4K TV, and will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out.

    Best Bang For the Buck

The only difference between this and the 6300 sister model is the remote control. At least that is the only difference listed on Samsung's site and I went over each thing line by line. But for $400 I'll live with this remote. The picture is top notch. I turned off the motion thing as I've never had a TV where it helped. It always seems funny to me that the thing that is supposed to reduce Judder adds it. I'm also a picture tweaker and usually tweak it for days if not weeks. I worked on it for a while and found myself going back to Standard and being happy. If you want to blind yourself put it on Dynamic lol. For the reviews with Judder try turning off the motion setting and make sure your watching something coming over a good source like Satellite or Cable and not a streaming source as internet feeds can look like Judder. For the price you can not beat this picture and have the smart TV apps. Vizio is the only thing that has a 65" 4k at this price but it has NO apps. It is a fancy monitor and you have to "Cast" your source to the TV via phone or tablet. Get this while the supplies last. If you want world class go with Suhd via Samsung or Galaxy Class and get an OLED from LG.

The tv is great, love the smart tv portion of the tv, easy to use. Its weak point is its upscaling. its not that great looking, even at 1080p it doesnt look great. Looks more like 720p, somewhat fuzzy and not sharp at all. You REALLY need a 4k Blu-Ray player or a 4k video card for your pc to enjoy this tv to its full potential.

Bought the TV on sale at the local BB store, but had to pick it up at another since they didn't have it in stock. setting up the TV was a breeze, picture is perfect and apps added is cool too. To top it off i also bought the Samsung soundbar Model: HW-K550/ZA, which came with a free wireless rear speaker SWA-8000S/ZA ($129.99 savings). setting up the sound bar and wireless rear speakers was easy. the TV and surround sound soundbar and speakers is AWESOME!!!!

Is it the best? No, but those cost $2k+. I had to tweak the settings a little to my liking and I am very happy with the picture. Netflix and NFL games look great. Sound is adequate, I may end up getting a sound bar as a preference due to having this TV in a very large room where the sound gets a bit lost, but that would be true for any standard speakers. This TV is worth it at the retail price let alone at a sale price. Overall a very good mid priced TV and would recommend if the absolute best is not required.

Thought it was junk at first . . .

But I was wrong. I was replacing a 55" Samsung 1080P that I've had for the last 5 years and have absolutely loved. Wanted to upgrade to something bigger, and take advantage of new 4K tech. So I got the TV home and all set up, hooked my receiver up and was immediately disappointed. Picture looked like absolute garbage. All sources were running through my a/v receiver, which is supposed to be 4k capable, even though my source material was not 4k, just 720p/1080i/1080p. I tested my PS4, DirecTV, Blu Ray player, Chromecast, and Fire Stick. The PS4 and Blu Ray player both looked a little better than my old TV, but the rest looked terrible. At this point I decided to bypass the receiver and run straight to the TV. Now THIS is what I expected! Picture looked amazing. No motion artifacts, bright colors, amazing clarity. Running through the receiver NFL games looked horrible, very jittery. My guess is that somehow my receiver was causing the signal to be degraded to the point that when the TV tried to upscale to 4k it just didn't have enough material to go off of and it looked horrible. So at this point I LOVE the new TV, but am not super thrilled with my receiver. Working on a workaround for it now, but I was somewhat relieved to find out that the problem was not something in my new TV that took so long to convince the wife to get!!

    Great aside from wireless card

Great 4K picture, Netflix looks nice. I upgraded from a 2012 model 59" Samsung to the 65" model. The SmartHub apps are way better on this 2016 model. My only issue is the wireless card speed is not that great. I pull 100Mbps down on my cell phone over 5G wireless, but over the TV I only get 35Mbps down... needless to say that's a big drop off. But technically 35Mbps *should* be enough to stream 4K at 60fps. But I'd still rather have the full 100Mbps speed obviously. Can't wait to hook up a PS4K to it though when that comes out, hopefully the 120 "motion rate" will hold up to that. Great price on the 50th anniversary sale. It's the same model spec as the 6300F version, it's just a special model for the promo pricing, so it's exactly the same (that's what the told me at BBY).

Couldn't go wrong when shopping for a smart TV. This one has all the bells and whistles with perfect color, clarity, and sound. No need to use a sound bar! Best Buy sales rep gave us the comparison info and the price was right on spot. Great TV and easy to use - shouldn't be looking again for several years!

My TV has been up for 9 days so far. Picture doesn't stand out quite as nicely as displays in store, but maybe I just need to adjust my color settings. My real concern is with sound. I've noticed there's a lot of skipping. Words are skipped as if there's a pause or jump in sound. I do have Samsung Sound Bar Model HW-M450/ZA connected and perhaps it could be that. I'm not a TV or tech expert, so I had to really research and ask a lot of questions. I previously had a 38 inch Insignia which was worthless so this is a huge adulting moment and upgrade for me. I really wanted to make an investment this time. I hope I didn't sell myself short.

    Nice TV

I'm not a videophile, so as far as I can tell...this TV does all I want it to in putting a picture in front of my eyes. The color is good, details are clear, any motion blur hasn't bothered me. Could one spend 100's or 1000's more for a better TV? Sure...and for some people, it might be worth it. Way back when, I fancied myself to be an audio expert -- specs, specs, and more specs until I had to put a lid on the purchase. Then one day...I bought a cheap Realistic (Radio Shack) cassette deck with just-OK specs because my money was tight. I recorded a song off a record and spun both the tape and record thru my mixer -- my ears couldn't tell me which one was playing. So...bottom line...if you like this TV -- BUY IT! It doesn't have built-in 5:1 sound or 240/sec frame-rate -- but maybe you don't need all that either.

This was a good TV and the picture was excellent. We did 5 year extended coverage when we purchased it in 2017. It died just before the age of six.
