I have been a fan of Samsung LED tv's for quite some time. They just keep getting more impressive as time moves on. This 9000 series tv will not disappoint. Incredible detail and as this is our first curved tv, we are appreciating the extra depth the curved screen delivers. Very pleased with this purchase.

This tv is great for even the most uneducated tv watcher to a cinema expert. Picture and sound is great! You don't really notice that the screen is curved no matter where you sit.

I originally purchased this item from Costco, but then found out that the quality wasn't quite what it was supposed to be. It was made to Costco"s specifications which weren't up to the quality that it should have been i sent that one back and purchased this one from Best Buy where i get the quality i expect. So far, we are very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it. Just dont buy the one from Costco, even if it is lower priced.

Bought this set for the truer blacks and better refresh rate. Came from a plasma so did not want to give up my great color. Color on the Samsung is pretty nice, but I did find most factory settings to be a little too vivid compared to my calibrated thx mode on the plasma. For those wanting that sort of accuracy I'd recommend a calibration. I think most buyers will enjoy the picture and color out of the box though. The fact that the panel is edge lit has not caused me any distraction during viewing. Would I like the set to be more like LG's oled yes, but for the money difference between them when I purchased and in actual viewing at home I find I don't notice the difference. Sure when the set is to a fully black screen with no picture it isn't black like you turned the set off, but more grayed, but I just don't notice an issue when viewing dark scenes in movies etc. Sound is impressive and I've not found the urge to go get a sound bar. Surprising bass response! Curved screen I thought a gimic, but does tend to trick you into feeling more depth to the picture and sucks you in. Admittedly this effect is somewhat lost if you're viewing distance is further away. The way it is set for us is perfect and we are straight on with the screen so can't speak for how good angled viewing is. THE NOT SO GOOD POINTS : Remote they have tried to streamline. Think they went too far. In controlling certain connected items you find you now have to hit two buttons to pause and play etc. Simple addition of the old pause, play, stop, ff and rewind button at the bottom for these items like it used to be would have been much better. Also have found it to easy while grabbing and moving the remote to accidentally turn the TV off. Has happened enough for me to mention it. Found the factory stand to seem a bit wobbly. Sure it held the panel fine, but would shake pretty easily. I'd have expected a more solid feel to it. The set is wall mounted now so a non issue, but thought I'd give my impression of the regular mount. YouTube still appears to be an issue for Samsung. Got a black screen already while watching and YouTube was not responsive. Online tech tried to set the address to a set address, but this seemed to slow my connection way down. Admittedly I've only got 12mb speed, but on the auto setting I'm getting great 4k streaming on YouTube videos. They finally rebooted the connection module and that worked. Have got the black screen again a few weeks later, but it fixed itself and was back up before I remembered to contact Samsung again about it. Overall I'd recommend the set although I do feel it is over priced, but then i could notice color/clarity issues with the lower sets that made this one the smarter choice and I was not going to pay the extra premium for the top of the line set. This one got me the picture and color I was looking for at a good comparative comprise on price compared to the top model. Just feel in this day and age of disposable tech that this set should retail for 1000 less maybe.

If you want a TV with an awesome picture for sports, gaming or general viewing, this TV is perfect. I first saw the TV in a Best Buy and then ended up doing a lot of research on it and some of the competitors models. It received very good ratings. Once I had decided on this particular TV, I was debating the flat screen model versus the curved screen model. I actually went back to Best Buy three times to look at the flat versus the curved to try to make a choice. The flat screen model was $300 cheaper than the curved screen model with the same performance and not much difference in picture, but the curved screen is a very attractive looking TV. After much debate I settled on the flat screen because I couldn't justify spending the extra $300 just because the curved TV looked cooler. Right before I was heading back to Best Buy to buy the flat screen, I jumped back online to check the pricing on the Best Buy website and some of the competitors because Best Buy will match selected competitor pricing. Much to my surprise, the curved TV was on sale online on the Best Buy website for the exact same price as the flat screen! It wasn't advertised in the store, but they agreed to match the online Best Buy price so I got the curved Samsung 65" for the price of the flat screen TV with the same performance! Score! Overall, I love the curved model and would buy it again in a second. I highly recommend it. Plus it came with a free HD Blueray player at the time I purchased it so it was a win win. The picture is unbelievable and has many setting you can use to adjust it to your liking. It took a few days to get used to a curved screen, but it is a quick adjustment. The one thing I would suggest is potentially a soundbar. The TV has pretty decent sound, but I find that I have to turn it up pretty loud due to having it in a room with a very high vaulted ceiling and kids running around, which sometimes makes it a bit difficult to hear. Again, great TV if you have the funds to spend on it and I have no regrets about purchasing it. I would highly recommend it.

This was very easy for me to take out of the box, put the legs on, then lift it two feet on to my media cabinet (although, a second set of hands to lift it would have been nice but I was too impatient to wait for a friend to come over and help). Connected to the internet and navigated the settings with the easy to use remote with no problems, Excellent colors. I have several Samsung tvs and they all look great and have been problem-free.

This TV is simply awesome. It has great design with great pictures. The sound quality is simply perfect. I did few research before finally speaking with one of the Tech guys who took to me to a website by TV nerds and after reading the detailed comparisons I decided on this TV and I'm glad I did. The remote has a mic which responds to commands very well.

    Best TV we have owned

We had to replace our 8 year old 61" Samsung DLP tv when the parts needed to fix it were no longer available. We have been very happy with Samsung tvs thru the years, and after a lot of research, our choice for a new tv was the Samsung 65" Smart 4K SUHD tv with curved screen and High Dynamic Range. It is simply the best tv we have owned. After two months, we cannot be more pleased. The picture is brilliantly clear and sharp and the colors simply explode off the screen. Yes, the quantity of 4K shows is limited presently (we have Amazon and Netfix accts) but even normal broadcast tv seems so much more vibrant on this tv. Smart functions are easy to use. We were skeptical of the curved screen but this feature enables images to look great from any angle and adds depth to the picture. We opted for the curved soundbar and the sound is beyond amazing. Looks great! Sounds great! Simply a great tv. We highly recommend it!

Pardon the delay but I've been too busy enjoying this television and I feel a review isn't appropriate until some prolonged use. It has been almost a year now and this television is mesmerizing with it's Clarity and almost 3D imaging. It really transports you to another level...the only gripe I have is the glare from lighting that bounces off from the background, but not bothersome enough to make me regret my purchase.

So far so good. Crisp picture , easy navigation, and setup was a breeze. The tv instantly linked up with my cable box making it simple to change the channel or volume with one remote. HBO go was set up along with the free 4K blu ray player. No complaints!

I have this tv and a KS85000 right next to eachother. It's very hard to tell the difference without looking very closely, but when you do this tv is certainly a tiny bit better. Would I say it's worth double the price...uhm no. It's a great tv but for this much it should 100% be a full array LED and there's is definite unpleasantness when viewing mostly dark frames. Another thing that annoys me is you can't use a lot of the smart tv features like you'd think. First there's no smart hub I have no clue how to make it control anything and I own 2 Samsung tvs that I hoped to make smart home controllers. Samsung promised some USB drive that was supposed to be available free late summer but now its December unless that's Summer over in asia...? The bluetooth surround doesn't work in the United States... and it seems like clicking one of the options it provides makes 10 others incompatable and therefore not able to be selected. The web browser is sluggish and I don't really like something about it. Overall this TV in my opinion is worth about half of what it costs. It's a great TV but adding a metal stand doesn't make it seem like it belongs on a yacht...its nice but not super fancy like Samsung would like you to believe has more of a work horse vibe.

    Why!!! Thin edge lit samsung?

So i wrote a review on this product and it was removed but i am doing so again because the consumers need to know the truth. Lets no look at the brand name of this product for a min. I purchased this set last week because the bestbuy associate told me it was the next hest thing to OLED. After buying this set i did a nimber of testing this is nothing close to Oled or great black levels. The set it self is elegant looking. I cant take that away from samsung, but unfortunately i did not spend almost $4000 to look at the set. Its supposed to have the best looking picture quality, To some it up no it does not. Fo one this set is edge let from the top and bottom of the set also it is extremely thin. With the laws of physics there is no way you can get great black levels with a thin edge lit led tv. In a dark room this set has alot of blooming and semi light bleed especially id you are watching anything with letter box. At times even with movies that have do not have letter box, a dark scene that randomly has a bright light or bright colors. The bottom/side of the set with the bright scene blooms as if the set trys to turn off one have of the led strips to give you the illusion of deep blacks but creates a washed out black with tones of blooming across that section of the screen. This is horrible lighting, this is no where close to OLED or even sonys new slim backlight drive technology. So i test a series of movies to make my conclusion on this set before returning it. The first was the dark knight rises. The sense were bane fights the dark knight. The motion is horrendous creating an artificial halo around bane as he moves in the night. Also watching the darklnights hands jitter while the throws punchs, also the ears of the batman while he moves was also horrible. Motion aside in my theater room i was never able to have a moment or deep blacks due to the light blooming through out the set. The second test was the hobbit Desolation of Smaug, in bright scenes the set looks ok but the battle in the town looks horrible. Due to all of the dark to bright scenes of smags flames made the tv seem as if it was flicker like a strobe light. I have also notice that the colors are too over saturated even for HDR when watching the Martian in 4k hdr. In short the set is extremely fast the new smart remote is great even tho it looks as if samsung stole that design from amazon fire tv. This set is too over priced for it being edge lit. For all who dont understand being edge and achieving a 1000nits of brightness will only destroy the contrast levels and most importantly in a super thin design. The light has to go somewhere. I returned this set and bought the sony 65x930D. Its not oled but its a way better set. Go to your local bestbuy and have them show you this set before you turn your fanboy light on.

I have had multiple Samsung televisions in the past years all show good picture quality but the "judder" effect still plagues them. I purchased this TV thinking that with the new motion rate technology and advanced engine the TV would finally perform up to it's 3500 dollar price tag. I was wrong. Live TV events such as golf, baseball, and hockey are extremely sharp and the picture quality is amazing, but your good old favorite weekly series and movies, show the TV's flaws. I have had the TV about 4 months now and have made a lot of adjustments as I watch. Nothing will get rid of the picture judder. If you have an older Samsung with the same complaints don't run out and spend the money on this TV the issue is still there. Overall semi-pleased with the TV but not the price tag. Would only recommend this to a friend if this was their first dive into 4K. Otherwise keep what you have for now.
