    Don't buy if you have DirecTV

    Note I have the exact same issues with 2 Samsung TV's. Both this series. One 55" the other 65". So it's not a one off issue. I have DirecTV and use the built in Genie box. It makes the tv unusable. One if you use the remote that is included you litteraly cannot do everything. Second it crashes all the time. When you unplug and restart you loose all your saved favorites. The Genie will not even start half the time. When it does start and you are watching TV it crashes. When everything is working, and you have a separate universal remote it so slow it's not usable. 5-10 seconds to page down in the guide. Sadly the Genie (RVU) setup is the only way to get 4K over DirecTV. That is the reason I got these TV's. But it is not worth it.

    Ads in Menu

    Yesterday I would have given this TV a glowing review, Today I am giving it 1 star. Samsung has begun putting ads on the menu bar that you use all the time to access, well everything. Will this never end? Am I now only renting my TV ? Is it "licensed" to me? Well their total disrespect for the consumer has earned them 1 star.

    Purchased this particular model a little under a month. I was watching Thursday night football and on the left side of the screen a 2 inch black bar appeared in the image from bottom to top. Contacted best buy and was told I was outside of my 15 day return policy and I would have to contact geek squad to have the tv looked at to determine if it was repairable or not. Geek squad came out inspected the tv and failed it. They made a call to someone in upper management and since I had the tv for such a short time and I was consider to be an elite customer I was able to return the product. Long story short best buy seemed to not care!! Smh!!

    So me and my wife had been looking to buy this TV for over a year and then finally had the money and were really excited to finally get it.So we went to the store and set up a delivery date and after 2 long weeks it finally got delivered and i couldnt wait to unbox it. It looked very nice and thin,immediately started putting it up and it took hours for it to turn on cause we got a message saying something about the little box that everything connects to.We called the number for costumer service on the box and i had to talk to a machine cause there was NO WAY to get to a freaking agent after repeating my problems consistently,REALLY??? You gonna make costumers talk to a freaking machine after saving for ever to buy a 1600$ TV which for us was a lot of money and offer no help so you dont have to deal and listen to them?? Anyways, the MAIN thing about this TV is that the picture quality was not good at all even after researching and calibrating the settings,the colors werent vivid enough and backlighting sucks and it jidders a LOT even during low pace movies or shows.ALSO the screen turns completely black for a few seconds when flipping through channels which was very very annoying and contributed to us just having enough of it. We returned it and bought a VIZIO 4k tv and saved a lot of money and the picture is better and doesnt have the annoying jidder.This TV just was not worth 1600$(when we bought it)!!!

    Messed up after 2 months

    I have purchased 5 samsung tvs within 7 years and all 5 messed up within 3 years. The 5th TV I bought was Un65KS8500. After only 2 months, the screen messed up. Let me say that the features are great. Screen quality in excellent. but if its not reliable, its not worth buying. I would recommend it but only with a extended warranty

    Not worth it for even half price

    I have owned this TV for 5 months and they have had to replace the panel twice. Samsung will not give you your money back they will only repair it. After this TV is out of warranty I will be throwing it in the garbage because replacing a panel is very expensive. I wish this wasn't the case because I love the TV when it works but since I have owned it it has been broken more then it has worked.

    TV doesn't recognize Bose home theater system

    I've wasted close to 20 hours and counting trying to get this TV to consistently recognize that a new Bose Soundtouch 300 home theater system is connected to it through the HDMI 4 ARC connection. Samsung support has been responsive, however, each time I call, it's like I'm starting from scratch troubleshooting. They continually fail to reach a permanent solution. I have been completely alienated to the Samsung brand at this point.

    Faulty Product

    Straight out of the box the TV did not work properly. I was unable to finish the initial set-up process. Contacted Samsung Tech Support and they were completely worthless. This was the first time I had bought a Samsung product and it will be the last time. Now I am stuck waiting on GeekSquad to give me their assessment of what to do next. Glad I paid extra for the extended warranty. I don't think I even want them to replace it, I want my money back so I can get a different brand. Wish I bought Vizio they are cheap and last forever.

    TV is beautiful. Bought it for my 82 year old father for Christmas. But after two weeks started turning itself off in the middle of watching. Then would turn on then right back off. Tried Samsung customer services but they could not figure it out over the phone. Said would have a technician come out but never showed up. Not pleased with Samsung at all. If you do buy get Best Buy coverage. This has been a nightmare for my Dad lifeI live 500 miles away and can't help. What a rotten Christmas gift this turned out to be.

    Not reliable

    In 2 years screen started to show large black sections. Contacted Samsung and they suggested to contact service for repair. I contacted them and their fee just for a diagnostic was $175. I have seen similar reviews on the review sections which indicates me that quality control is poor on manufacturing this product. Samsung should assume responsibility for these defective units. Their reputation got tarnished to me. Never buying again Samsung...

    After 6 months the screen went black, Samsung has given me the run around for 3 days with people having me do exactly the same thing over and over, thinking the picture will miraculously just re appear. I will never buy another Samsung product. Now today I am told it will be another up to 48 hours before someone calls to schedule service, then it could be up to a week before they come out. So I could potentially have no TV for 2 weeks.

    Purchased this tv afte this a year of research. I was surprising my family with this purchase, but unfortunately I was the one surprised. Set up the tv and it would not go pass the initial setup screen. Troubleshooted with Samsung for 2 hours with no success. They suggested a new set from the store. I went to the store to reorder a new one, but thought about voiding

    To many defects for a TV this price

    Back piece cover does not stay on. It does fly off with wires or without, caps for the screws also do not stay on and fly off ones you take the plastic off. Best buy gave us 90 no returns so i can't even exchange it and they wonder why i exchanged last one. huge disappointment in samsung and specially best buy.
