We purchased this TV last June 2016. We were enticed by its review and design. It was working fine, however around December, we notice that there is a dark vertical line on the right side of the TV so we reported it to Samsung via 1 (800) 726-7864. Below are the chronological events that took place, there were multiple follow ups on a daily basis to Samsung for the repair/refund: • December 5, 2016 - I called up Samsung and reported the issue on the TV. The agent performed initial testing via phone and finally they asked us to send the picture of the said issue. Screen capture was send out to Samsung via [email protected] • December 9, 2016 - after 4 days of follow up they confirmed that the send out pictures and scheduled a service appointment • December 20, 2016 - the service technician from Service Quick, Inc tried to check the issue and replaced the whole screen of the TV. However, the TV went black. He then returned the old screen because he said that the replacement screen was busted. After returning the original parts, our TV went black as well. It seems that the technician busted our TV. This was Christmas holiday by the way! We called SAMSUNG again and they said that they cannot replace the TV unless the technician ruled out that it was irreparable. • January 11, 2017 - Another technician from Service Quick, Inc. came in with the new parts to repair the busted TV, he then said that there was a problem on the motherboard, one connect and cable. So, for the second time, the technician was not able to replace the TV. I called up Samsung again and demanded a refund but they said that they have to repair the TV first • January 17, 2017 - The technician cancelled the scheduled service appointment because he mentioned that the parts to replaced have not arrived. So, I called Samsung again regarding the cancellation and they scheduled another service appointment • January 27, 2017 - The technician arrived but he only brought 2 parts, the motherboard and the Samsung Connect, so as expected he was not able to fix the TV for the 3rd time because of the missing parts. I reported this to Samsung but they said their famous line that they can only refund the TV if the technician ruled out that it is irreparable. • February 16, 2017 - The technician arrived again with the new parts and tried to fix the TV, again as expected, the same thing happened and the TV is not powering up. So, finally, he ruled out that the TV was irreparable after they have replaced everything from the screen, motherboard, cable, one connect etc. I reported this to SAMSUNG, they mentioned that I should wait from 3-5 days because Samsung's ECR Department will have to review my case and they will called me up to confirm if there will be a refund for the TV. I called them up on a daily basis until the 5th day, they mentioned that the review was not 3-5 days but 4-8 days! WTF! I was very furious but we have no choice but to wait. Finally, they called up on the 7th day and requested the copy of the TV's invoice (which I send out to them last December 5, 2016), they mentioned that they will be sending an email regarding the process of the refund. • March 7, 2017 - I called again to follow up on the email after waiting for 8 days without any update from the ECR Department. I did not received any email. Another agent from that department mentioned that they will not be sending an email and they were sorry for the wrong information mentioned by the other agents (What???). They said that my refund was approved and I have to wait for a call from KW International to pick up the TV so that they will be able to send the refund check • March 15, 2017 - As usual, no call was received after a couple of daily follow ups. Another agent mentioned that the ticket was not updated and that I have to wait for KW International to contact me. They just updated the status of the ticket today and send the details to KW International... WTF!!! • March 17, 2017 - I tried to contact KW International to directly follow up on the TV pick up. They mentioned that they cannot contact me because Samsung provided a wrong mobile contact number!!! WTF! KW told me that they have another contractor, Skeema Courier that will be picking up the TV, so I called Skeema and scheduled the pickup of the TV last March 24, 2017 Finally! The TV was picked up after 3 months of back and forth follow up with Samsung! Now the refund, I called up today for a follow up on the check refund, they mentioned that I should wait for 2-3 days for the check by mail. I hope I won't need to call them again for another follow up! So, I do not recommend buying a TV from Samsung because of my horrendous experience with them.

Great TV good view at all angles Color is bright and clear Good for watching movies or sports

When my son moved and took his two year old 8700 Samsung TV I needed a new television. When I started it I was amazed by the vivid colors. The picture is excellent ( it doesn't upscale to a true 4K picture). I am very pleased one month later. Just a warning if using with a home theater receiver. My Denon receiver kept changing inputs but this was corrected by connecting the cable box to the TV and sound output to the receiver.

This TV is great. Phenomenal picture. Has tons of apps and a very easy to navigate home menu.

I was looking to make the 4k jump & I did a lot of research to that end. This TV is about as close to perfect as I could get for the budget I had. I love the curve! It adds some dimension & it makes it more viewable by guests that end up sitting on off center places. My Comcast service looks beautiful on this unit! Even the set up tech said he was impressed. I am also a gamer, my PS4 & XBOX ONE look fantastic! Even my Wii U looks much improved. The only issue I have I'm not sure if it's the TV or my XBOX is, when watching 4k movies in darker scenes the images get a little pixelly. It may well be the XBOX ONE 's fault. All & all it's a great investment if you are glued to your TV like I am.

The picture is awesome! It looks very good with the 4K movies we purchased to watch on it!

I read the reviews and they were right. This TV has a great picture and the 4K is awesome.

I hate that it only took a few days for this to become the new standard! Outstanding picture, quality, and software. One downfall for me was lack of instructions for the remote. (short-cut keys, etc.).

The curved screen makes it easier to view from all angles. It's a great viewing experience.

Excellent picture, Does a great job upscaling Standard HD video, especially Blu-ray discs. Not really sure the curved screen is any different from a viewing standpoint from the flat version, but I bought the curved version because it was on sale for the same price as the flat one and my wife likes the design. We are very happy with this TV. Picture looks good in dark and light rooms. Definitely recommend this TV.

Highly recommended 4K smart tv if you're in the market, particularly for a curved option
