We were torn between this and the 65" Sony. We researched the two TV's at a few stores and every place told us to stay with the Samsung. The Sony was less expensive and I'm sure they are both great sets. I hate how the price fluctuates week to week on these TV's (all of them), makes me crazy, but can't look back.

It was the picture that sold me but if you are buying it because of the smart hub thinking it will tie into Amazon Alexa it won't. The smart hub manages the HDMI and other ports. But I am still very happy with this TV. The clairity is crisp and I have seen details on shows I regularly watch I never saw before.

The Samsung un65ks8500 has exceeded my expectations in almost all regards. The smart features are very responsive and easy to navigate. Watching 4k programming through Netflix, Amazon and Youtube are made simple. The smart remote always me to control all the devices currently hooked up to the TV. It was a little difficult at first to get everything setup to work with the remote. The remote controls my Vizio soundbar, xbox one and old ROKU 3 from previous TV. (It is used to watch a few channels that the Samsung app store does not include...ESPN and NBC apps for example) The one complaint I would list about the TV is the light blooming effect generated on very black scenes. SInce this TV using edge lighting technology I knew this could be a potential issue and it is noticeable when in a dark room. It was not noticeable enough for this to be a deal breaker for me. To see what examples of this simply google ks8000 or ks8500. Many sites have done reviews for this TV. Rtings.com being one of them. Would not change my decision! Very happy with the purchase!!!

all I can say is I just booked up the new Xbox one X to this tv and wow.. that 4k picture is unbelievable

The picture is beautiful. This is one purchase that I have not regretted. I went into the store not wanting to buy a TV. However, once I saw the picture I fell in love. It was more than I am use to paying for a TV but the price was inline with the other websites I searched. You will not regret this purchase.

Did a ton of research prior to purchase. Had installed on the wall by the Geek Squad and this was the perfect way to go. Also opted for the calibration (you should wait 3 - 4 weeks before calibration). I am unbelievably happy with my purchase! Definitely a plus with the 240 motion rate and love the curve.

To be honest the 1st week was weird. The tv was so brilliant, bright, and big. Now I’m in love with it.

The service was great, the young man explained to us about this tv, and made some recommendations, we were pleased with the out come, only one issue, direct tv dose not come in as clear as the rest of the channels, other than that awesome

I carefully reviewed this tv on various sites to include Consumer Reports who gave it high marks. I have had the tv now for 3 months and am so very happy with it. The picture is excellent and the sound quality is quite good. I recommend it.

I've bought quite a few Samsungs over the years I'm very pleased with this one so far. I wanted the flat version but my girlfriend overruled me and we ended up with the curved. I love the look now as well and the new interface is great. Works well with other components and the remote is a fantastic upgrade.

I've had this TV for a couple months and I'm still learning. It has all the reature I want and none of the ones you need (3D). I bought my TV off the display so I got a really great price. There was no remote but the store associate found another one for the same model and it was very easy to pair.

The picture is very clear and I really like the increased viewing angles provided by the curved screen. I also enjoy all of the apps you can run natively in the TV - I've completely abandoned my streaming player (Apple TV/Roku/WDTV) since this TV can connect directly to Plex, Amazon Video, Netflix and Hulu.

I purchased this television as an upgrade to an old plasma. I had looked at tvs for weeks before the purchase. This tv was priced ok. It has an excellent picture. I find the adjustments easy to make. The smart features work good too and are quick. The picture is great when watching from a 4k source.

I had my eye on a Samsung curved tv for a while., I read quite a few reviews before purchasing and they were very favorable. I am happy to say that they were right. The picture color is phenomenal and the sound is even better with the Samsung curved soundbar. I am very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this tv based upon it receiving the top Consumer Reports rating and after viewing the tv in person and seeing the incredible picture. Hopefully, the networks will begin broadcasting in UHD so that I can reap the full benefit.

I considered purchasing the 9800 series but really didn't see any difference in picture clarity or options so I chose the 8500 series at half the cost. The money I saved almost paid for the Bose Soundstream 300 sound bar, sub and rear speakers which all work flawlessly on the ARC connection of this television. Love the small remote which I initially didn't think I would like since it only has a few buttons. I would like to congratulate Samsung for making a tv with a remote that works flawlessly with other components such as the Bose sound bar, Samsung blu ray and U-verse DVR. Only issue encountered so far is when the Amazon Prime app freezes occasionally in the middle of streaming a movie. I've had this tv for a couple months and there's no question that I made the right choice. Would buy again.

This is a very good tv, the blacks could be much sharper in this tv. Overall quality of the tv is good. I read several negative comments on the remote stating not many buttons. The remove is very good if you take the time to learn how to use it and what it can do. The voice recognition on the remote could be much better, does not recognize what you are trying to say a lot of the time. I have direct tv and the remote synced right up to it and allows me to do everything the direct tv remote can do.

By far, the best TV that I have ever owned! Such a beautiful, crisp picture and the speakers only compliment. I highly recommend both!

This TV has stood the test of time. I can't tell how pleased I was with this purchase. Till this day, people still ask if I got a brand new TV. Picture is crisp and clear. Can't wait to upgrade to the latest model (albeit there's no reason to)

still recommend soundbar to accompany any newer tv, but features and picture have been flawless
