The 6 Series is so much better
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought this would be a great TV because I had the 6 series before, but it’s got so many issues. The picture is average. The sound goes up and down by itself. And it’s very laggy. Takes forever to do anything. Needs a good software update to fix these issues I believe.

Great picture and great sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV was simple to setup out of the box. The TV recognized the devices I had connected and it shows the icon of the device. The picture quality and sound is great. The blacks on the tv are deep and dark the white is not as bright as my other tv from Samsung but it still looks great. The 4k output is realistic looking I have I am very impressed and for the price point it is a great entry level tv. Playing a game on it with the xbox it did not have any motion blur like some tvs do. The only thing I did not like was how the interface was laggy when choosing the different inputs or the different apps. All in all it is a great tv

Terrible Contrast
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is great and user-friendly but I would only reccomend for bright and colorful shows. I'm glad I decided to watch a dark low lit series (Ozarks-Netflix and Hanna-Prime) within my return period because shows like these are unwatchable. SEE PHOTOS BELOW, SAME SCENE DIFFERENT TV. Darker scenes at some points look pitch black. I did a return exchange thinking I got a bad TV but the direct light feature ruins the entire TV. I am going to try an edge light option because I love Samsung but I truly can't reccomend a product that doesn't have viewable content.

Worst TV Purchase of my Life
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The warranty was over on June 19, 2021. It is November 11, 2021, and our TV has completely stopped working. Samsung has the WORST customer service and when we called, they were literally reading from a manual trying to help us fix our TV, but it is stuck on a "firmware" update that doesn't want to update, rendering it useless. I am never purchasing another Samsung product again, it has by far the worst customer service, worst remote layout, and worst screen quality I have ever seen in my life. This TV is useless and I will never buy from them again. Not to mention, we ended up buying a Samsung Sound bar as well and have had nothing but terrible experiences with that also. I attached a photo of what our TV is stuck on. We have spent over 12 hours trying to figure it out on our own, have spent over 2 hours on the phone with Samsung customer service that has had not a single helpful thing to say, spent time and money going out and buying a NEW usb drive to try and install the firmware update that way, and nothing. Not to mention, the first time we purchased this TV it was completely broken so we had to go through the hassle of returning it and rebuying it at the store. Do NOT waste your time and money on this TV.

NOT FOR GAMING
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I dont want to give a rating too low because it is a great TV if you’re watching movies/shows. The downside: I bought this TV to play the new PS5 but it doesnt seem to catch the graphics capability. When you move too fast the whole screen gets blurry, the HUD is blurry etc. its soo terrible i couldnt believe it. So if you’re getting this for gaming ITS A NO GO. Even on PS4 it’s bad. On the picture i’m moving the camera fast and thats the blurriness you get :/ Its not as bright and the colors aren't that great either. If you want a beautiful screen go for another TV but if you just want a cheap, 4K TV just to watch movies/shows then this TV is fine for you.

My favorite tv I’ve ever owned!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is hands down the nicest tv I’ve ever owned. I love the sleek frameless look that it has. The images are crystal clear! It came stocked with several apps and app options. I can Bluetooth my phone and mirror image with very little effort. The colors are also very vivid! Not only is the design sleek, it is also very lightweight for its size. I have the 65 inch and it was easy for 2 to lift and mount. It came with a universal remote that sets itself up with your cable box. You just select your provider and it does the rest! I do wish it would light up so you could see the buttons in the dark but other than that, it’s a nice remote! The sound from the tv is great on its own. It is also “smart” in the sense that it controls the sound levels for smooth transitions from movies and shows to commercials! I can’t stand when tv’s get really loud during commercials or when there’s a fight scene or music in movies. There’s nothing worse than not being able to hear voices in a movie. This tv controls all of that so I’m not trying to find the remote in the dark to hurry and adjust the volume every 2 minutes. I can go online with this tv and browse my company website to play image slideshows for clients. The images are honestly crystal clear! I used the browser feature on the tv and typed my website in. The main reason I choose this tv is because I am a photographer and I wanted a tv that I can use for consulting with clients. I wanted the ability to show them images on a wall for in person sales. This tv displays the images so nicely that I’m more concerned the tv may actually look better than the prints when they arrive. This tv will be a huge asset to my business after this pandemic. For now though, my family and I are thoroughly enjoying it in our living room. I can’t brag about the picture enough. When synced to my laptop, iPad or phone, it’s awesome for zoom meetings!. The sync provides the camera and microphone so we can be seen and heard to others. I can see ya purchasing another one for other rooms. The price point for these TVs can not be beat! It provides an amazing tv with all of the bells and whistles! I’m truly amazed! It can also do split screen so you can watch your movie or news while also browsing your emails, social media or just looking for a recipe! In summary, I highly recommend this tv to anyone in the market for a new television! I would purchase agaiN!

Defective out of the box
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brought it home, set it up and its defective right out of the box. Super disappointing. I tried to call Samsung customer support, but the wait is over 90 minutes so they dont even give you the option to wait, instead they force you to their text message service. That was several hours ago and I've heard nothing back. I haven't decided if I'll exchange for another or just cut my losses on this one. If I do exchange and its still working a year later I'll update this review. Otherwise, its 1 star. Seems like a bad product.

Dark very gloomy images.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t understand how this TV got so many positive review. The picture on it is very dark and gloomy even at high brightness setting. I tried so many different settings but still no luck. Night scenes you can barely see anything on the screen. The guys at the store said this is a very basic TV and it’s as good as it gets. Returned it and bought a different one.

Posted .Hi there,
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for sharing your experience with your TV not displaying properly. You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections
2. If the issue persists, define precisely what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, and fixed horizontal or vertical lines.
3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels?
4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources?
5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test)
6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception
Should your issue persist, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Thank you for purchasing the TU7000 TV and for your review. I am very sorry that you are experiencing Wi-Fi connection issues.
You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection:
1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).
2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)
3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem.
Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings >Support> Device Care> Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test
4) Please be sure you have the latest firmware update which enhances network connectivity. Ver 1401.7 is now available at: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/crystal-uhd-tvs-tu7000-2020

Posted .Hi LadCxRca,
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for sharing your feedback with us. The distortion issue may be due not connecting correctly with an external device. Please check your connection by:
1) Disconnecting and reconnecting the power cables and HDMI cables on the back of your TV, then unplug the power cord and plug it back into the wall outlet
2) If the external device supports UHD video, use a dedicated HDMI cable (4K) for HDMI video playback.
3) If a component cable is used, make sure that the colored connectors are connected to the matching connectors on the external device and the TV.
4) If you are using a set-top box, check the cable connection. The cable you need to check depends on the type of settop box.
5) Make sure that your access point is connected to the Internet. If not, disconnecting and reconnecting its power cable may be required.
6) If the problem persists, check the video output settings in the settings menu of the external device, and ensure that your TV supports the video output mode.
For detailed step-by-step instructions, please see pages 141-145 of the E-Manual: https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/202004/20200402125724749/KT2ATSCT-2.0.0_EM_KANTS_USA_ENG-US_200309.1.pdf
Your E-Manual is also available directly on your TV: Settings > Support > Open e-Manual
To further optimize your TV's motion image performance, you may want to adjust the picture clarity setting by going to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings
- Off: Picture Clarity Settings will always be off
- Auto: Picture Clarity Settings will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
- Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used. By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings for Judder Reduction, LED Clear Motion, and Noise Reduction.

decent tv

Pros - easy installation is what I like about samsung tv for the past few years now - have the ability to setup your tv using your phone, by download loading samsung app - Operating System (OS) looks beautiful and clean - fairly slim design tv with color with a hint of black and grey. - the tv have the ability to recognize which console is being plug in hdmi (even gives the screen a logo of the console on OS) - input lag on this tv is very low. so it feels quick and snappy, a lot lower than LG tvs. - automaticity switching the tv on game mode when console is plugged in - samsung finally have apply air-play where you can connect your apple device to watch it on big screen, if you own an apple device this feature is such a huge plus! considering you won’t need to buy apple tv. Cons - while the design of tv is fine, I was thrown off of how the color of the feet of the tv was way off from the main body, it came with light grey colored plastic feet, and it just look weird after the installation - the OS of the tv was still slow even after the latest firmware was installed - 2 hdmi input was a big let down it’s kinda hard to decide which one to plug since most people have more than 2 hdmi devices in their homes. - about apple air-play the application also then to lag when you transfer a video from your phone to watch on apple air-play the video will eventually stutter and that was bothering me and had to stop the movie using air-play - not knowing if HDR is on was kinda hard for me to like this tv, the tv also just doesn’t give me that vibrant color I would hope for during HDR mode, made me question if HDR was even activated until I saw on picture setting that is indeed on HDR - picture quality I thought was ok, seems to be on the softer side, colors like was mentioned above wasn’t as vibrant as I would hope, the black level was also weak, this will show when you watch movies with black bars on them, the black bar doesn’t look black at all. was hoping for more advance setting for the picture quality but i’m glad that I didn’t not see any cinema effects section during the settings. was hoping that these 2020 tv would be better that would have better technology, I was planning on replacing my samsung KS8000 in the bedroom to this, but after spending time on this my 3 year old KS8000 pictures quality still beats this tv, it might not have the latest features that this TU7000 have but the OS of my 3 year old tv is way faster than this 2020 model, the KS8000 also have much better black level, TU7000 back lighting is not that great, I think this 65” TU7000 is a great tv for those people that doesn’t care or pay attention to things that I listed but only cares about having the 65” size in their house. gaming on this tv is prob the only plus for me, it runs great you can feel the low input lag helps , but even gaming with HDR wasn’t great at all, colors just wasn’t poppin as I would hope. run as good as my 55”KS8000, overall I think for the price and feature it has is still worth the purchase, but i’d only recommend this tv to those that doesn’t care about little features it might have, for this people that colors matters then i’d recommend adding extra 100+ to get a better samsung tv.
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Samsung
