Remote control does not light up. Unless in the dark. Wanted to purchase your Insignia model, but was told it was not in stock. Would sure like to exchange current set.

It’s unfortunate to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the brightness of your TU7000 TV’s picture. If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.
I recommend using Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.
Or you can manually adjust the Brightness, Contrast, and more. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings.
You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV: Settings > Support > Software Update.

Why would I purchase the mounting optional without a bracket ? Thank goodness the Geek Squad that delivered and installed had a bracket. May need to teach the staff to ask if customer has the mounting equipment or needs to purchase it.
