Nice and yet....

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We are very happy with the crystal clearness of the picture.....and yet when we watch some shows that have dark scenes, the picture in indistinguishable. We can see almost nothing, so much so that we know we are missing whats happening in the scene. Very disappointing!! Now that we have done more research, we have found that this particular TV has this problem alot.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 and for your review. I am very sorry you are viewing scenes that appear too dark. A new firmware update has been released to address this issue. You may also need to manually reboot your TV after the update by either unplugging the AC cord or by pressing and holding the power button on the remote until the TV powers off and back on.
Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.
You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences.
Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

Disappointed

Have had a few issues. 6 or 7 times, we have turned the TV off with the remote at night, only to wake up in the am with no settings saved. Have had to go through set up 6 times. Then yesterday, when turned on in the am, the picture was distorted looked like tye dye! Unplugging and restarting did seem to reset the picture, but has been extremely inconvenient. Was not a cable tv issue.. Not expected in a Samsung product.

Thank you for purchasing the TU7000 TV. I am very sorry for the color glitch issue you encountered. Please check that your TV has the latest firmware update, which should resolve your issue. To update directly from your TV, press the HOME button on your remote.
Go to SETTINGS (gear icon) > Support > Software Update > Update Now
Your TV will check for the update and should start downloading the update. After the update is installed the TV will shut down and restart. Once the TV restarts, press and hold the Power button until the TV turns off and back on.
If Usage Mode is set to Retail Mode, the TV's audio and video settings are automatically reset every 5 minutes. Change Usage Mode to Home Mode. Go to: Settings > General > System Manager > Usage Mode
