Freezes all the time.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I constantly have to unplug this TV to restart it and I don’t even use it that much. It freezes nearly every use. When it does, I am unable to turn it off and must manually restart by unplugging. The picture quality is decent but so is the picture quality of the LG TV I have in my living room. The LG never freezes on me though. It was a toss up between an LG and this Samsung when I made this purchase and it’s one that I really regret. I should’ve stuck with the brand that I have had pleasant experiences with but the Samsung was highly recommended.

I am sorry that your TU7000 is freezing. You can have your TV perform a self-check to diagnose the issues you are experiencing.
Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
For step-by-step instructions on self-diagnosis tools, please visit: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077524/
You may also want to clear out your TV's temporary storage space by pressing and holding the Power button for 6 seconds.

not what I expected!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this TV online from BestBuy and received it brand new. The setup was easy and updated the software that was prompted by Samsung straight out of the box. I was real disappointed with the picture quality in some instances from this TV. In several movies where there are darker scenes, I literally could not see what was happening in the scene because it was REALLY dark! I tried to change the picture settings and used all the modes, but it still produced very dark scenes from alot of content I was watching. I dont know what Samsung means by Crystal Clear picture but mine sure was not. I had to return it and got a Vizio instead. So far so good on the Vizio.

Wrong advertisement from Samsung
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is supposed to work with Apple Airplay (as written on the box, as well as one of the major highlight about this release in Samsung website), but it does not (at least as of now). Samsung support team keeps asking to wait for a future software update, but based on my past experience with them, I can't really rely on if there would be any and if that would solve anything! While that might not be the biggest factor of a TV, I hate false/misleading advertisement.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think the tv itself isn’t bad. The sound isn’t as loud compared to other tv’s at 100 volume and it barely has been 1 month and it’s been lagging/freezing a lot.

Posted .Hi AriD,
I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with your UI freezing. To ensure performance is fully optimized, please ensure your TV is running the latest firmware. To do so, go to Settings> Support> Software Update. You can easily update from there if necessary.
Regarding your issue with low volume: there are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience.
1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.
2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode.
Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might need to be set higher. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.
If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Tv review post 3 months
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to give the tv some time before leaving a review. I understand the price point and expected quality for size. After having the tv for 3 months i am disappointed in the display specially when it comes to dark pictures. The black color on the tv is terrible and very noticeably blocky/not smooth. I have played with the brightness and contrast settings but can cannot smooth out the picture when it’s dark. Also the sound is very quiet and would recommend getting a sound bar.

Posted .Hi VictorG,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out and let us know about your experience with TU7000 TV's picture quality. You mentioned trying a few Settings adjustments; however, there are quite a few you can try. I will put them below, just in case.
First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.
Next, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.
For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.
Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings.
You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.
Regarding the sound being too low, there are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience.
3) Several Sound Modes are available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode

Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the last Samsung, it was loaded with their advertising and programming and wouldnt even allow for reasoable use before accepting their terms of use and continued input of their choice which greatly slows down its use. I was assured by sales person that this tv was not set up that way. I returned it to the store and replaced it with another brand. Malfunctioning Set
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have purchased several Samsung TVs over the years and they’ve all been great. This one has malfunctioned from the start. TV resets to the Home Screen when changing settings, and power cycles randomly when changing settings or when attempting to run an app. Power cycles when trying to Reset settings to factory default. Picture is great but I think this one accidentally passed QA/QC. Will be returning.

Posted .Malfunction:
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly.
Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.
2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.
3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
5) TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to
Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service.
Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement.

Well when doing so with this tv, the next day, the tv won't connect to the internet or has a lag so bad that the movie or show looks pixelated.
