The TV was damaged in the upper right corner when we got the TV out of the box and set it up. We tried to return the TV but Best Buy said because there was no damage to the box outside or Styrofoam inside, the damage must have occurred outside the box on our part. Like the TV could not have been tipped over on their part and hit hard on the ground causing the damage. They refused any refund or exchange of any kind. With policies like this, it is not surprising that retail stores are losing out to Amazon and other online shopping options. I will never ever buy anything from Best Buy again. They have lost a customer for life. If I could rate the buying experience a zero, I would. I wish I could comment on the TV but I cannot as I was unable to truly experience the TV in its normal state due to the terrible customer service. And just so the company knows that this was a valid purchase and complaint, my Best Buy Order # is BBYTX-806369602860.

TV screen flickers randomly and need to turned the TV off and on to stop it. Talked to customer service twice, letting them remotely control my TV, running test and reinstall, everything. But couldn't fix occasional flickering problem. Also shadow is too dark to see any detail. Can't believe it's made by Samsung. If the TV was without these issues, I believe this is good buy. Very good TV for its price. But until there is definite fix for flickering issue and black contrast problem, it's one star TV.

      PaulS:

If your TV is flickering or dimming sporadically, you may need to disable some of the energy efficiency features.

Disable Ambient Light Detection, Power Saving Mode, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer.
Settings > General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection
Settings > General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode
      Settings > General> Eco Solution> Motion Lighting
Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Contrast Enhancer

Run Picture Test. When the tested image quality is normal, check the signal of the connected device.
Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test

Additionally, I am very sorry you are viewing scenes that appear too dark. Samsung is aware of the problem, and a new firmware update will be released soon to address this issue.

Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.

You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences.
Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

Don’t expect much as you are paying ~$500 for a 65” TV. Less than a week into owning this TV it starts flickering. Seriously Samsung?? Can’t even make it a week without having issues. The Hulu app also was giving me issues and wouldn’t open. TV lags quite a bit when trying to navigate through the menu. Reason why I’m even giving this 2 stars is due to Best Buy, they did offered great curb side service with quick friendly team members and they also price matched this tv when it went on sale. However I would not recommend this TV to anyone unless they don’t mind the risk of buying a TV that may not even last you a week...

I have had this Samsung 65-inch, 7-series, 4K UHD TV in my living room for several days now. My overall reaction to it is that it is a great TV with one significant feature drawback that I will get to at the end of this. Set-up of the TV was typical for these nowadays. Unbox it, attach legs, put in place (I have it on a TV-stand rather than mounting on the wall—it is VESA-compatible), connect power and video sources, make sure video sources are powered on so the TV can find and identify them, power on the TV, and go through the set-up process, which took about 10 minutes and includes identifying sources, connecting to the internet, and so forth. It takes two people to maneuver such a large object around, but the TV did seem unusually light in weight, which was a pleasant suprise. The TV will ask you to set up an account with Samsung, which I did. This will permit all of the TV’s settings to be stored in Samsung’s cloud and downloaded to the TV if ever needed. The set-up process also included asking if one has an Amazon Prime account, which I do, so I signed in to that and added this TV to my list of devices recognized by Amazon. Having an account with Samsung makes performing firmware upgrades (discussed below) a little simpler, too. It was recommended that I perform a firmware upgrade on the TV as soon as it was set up, and I did this with no problem. I downloaded the upgrade from the Samsung website, put it on a flash drive, connected the drive to the TV (there is one USB port), and went through the upgrade, which is done through the Settings menu. The firmware downloaded was, in fact, a newer version than the firmware the set came with. Picture quality is excellent, as you would expect, and there are both pre-set (“Dynamic,” “Standard,” “Movie,” etc.) and individually customizable video settings. I was particularly interested to check out the 4K capabilities of the TV as that is one of its main selling points, and I have not had a 4K TV before now. There is not a lot of programming available in 4K, but I did find several recent movies offered through my satellite service provider available in 4K, and I watched two of them with one of them being the last installment (Episode IX) of the Star Wars franchise (“The Rise of Skywalker”). I found that the picture is clearly “better” in the sense that it seemed sharper and a little-bit more 3-D even though, of course, it can’t be 3-D on a 2-D surface without special glasses. But it just seemed that way, and my wife, in particular, noticed a significant improvement in the picture quality over a non-4K program. Now, getting to the one drawback of this TV as I mentioned at the top of this. The connectivity options are, in a word, inadequate. This is 2020, not 2010, and there cannot be too many HDMI ports, which are pretty much the current standard for audio/video connections, on a TV nowadays. I have three video sources in my living room: a satellite TV set-top box, a streaming service (Roku), and a blu-ray player. All use an HDMI connection. This TV has only two HDMI ports. In 2020 a new TV should, in my opinion, come with at least five such ports because, in addition to what I have, people often have a gaming box, perhaps a second streaming service they will want to attach, and probably one or two other devices I can’t think of right now. The TV that this one replaced in my living room, which I purchased in 2016, has three HDMI ports, so replacing it with this TV is trade-off, better picture quality but fewer connectivity options. With this TV, I have two choices. I can be continually getting behind the TV and be unplugging and plugging in HDMI cables, which gets old very quickly. Or I can do what I did, which is spend $15 and get an HDMI switch. The one I bought allows connection of three HDMI devices to one HDMI port, and you switch between them with a small remote. So now I have yet another remote added to the ever-growing pile of them in the basket on the end table. But I can live with that. As I say, though, this stingy number of HDMI ports is not a small oversight, in my opinion. I would give the TV 4.5 stars because of this connectivity problem, but I can only give whole numbers of stars. Because the TV itself is fine in terms ease of use and of everything it can do, and because I believe that these should be the primary bases on which to evaluate a TV, taking off a full star seemed a bit too much to me. After all, you can do some research and find out what the connectivity options are before buying it. If they’re not what you need, find something else. I’ll go with a five-star rating because it is such a fine TV. Just make sure it meets your needs as far as connecting your devices.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re not fully satisfied with the image quality of your TU7000 TV.

Buffering when watching videos online is related to your internet speed. Buffering may occur on your Samsung Smart TV while streaming video content over the internet. Buffering usually occurs when your internet connection provided by your ISP cannot supply data fast enough for the playback device.

We suggest you try the following:
      1) Use 5G Wi-Fi if possible
      2) Try wired LAN if available
      3) Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router
      4) Please be sure you have the latest firmware update which enhances network connectivity.

I HATE the Samsung smartTV interface. It’s so clunky, and such a pain to navigate. I’m used to the Roku interface which I realize is a very simple setup, so I was willing to give it a while to get used to it. We used it for almost 2 months, and I finally just went and got a Roku stick to change the tv into a Roku tv and bypass the Samsung smart tv part completely. It’s working so much better now. There were a few apps that were just terrible and unusable to stream on the Samsung interface.

We had bought the same tv and same exact model from Costco then by put both together and compare the different it is completely different picture qualty ( the one from costco is way better) plus from costco we got additional 3 years free warranty from allstate and the box has hdmi cable which it does not include with bestbuy one so overall we have to keep the costco item and return this.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
