      Crusher1974:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I am sorry for the frustrations you've experienced with having to reboot your system. Should you encounter this again, the issue may be due not connecting correctly with an external device. Please check your connection by

      1) Disconnecting and reconnecting the power cables and HDMI cables on the back of your TV, then unplug the power cord and plug it back into the wall outlet
      2) If the external device supports UHD video, use a dedicated HDMI cable (4K) for HDMI video playback.
      3) If a component cable is used, make sure that the colored connectors are connected to the matching connectors on the external device and the TV.
      4) If you are using a set-top box, check the cable connection. The cable you need to check depends on the type of settop box.
      5) Make sure that your access point is connected to the Internet. If not, disconnecting and reconnecting its power cable may be required.
      6) If the problem persists, check the video output settings in the settings menu of the external device, and ensure that your TV supports the video output mode.

For detailed step-by-step instructions, please see pages 141-145 of the E-Manual.

      Jp2088:

Thank you for sharing your experience with the TU7000 TV. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.

Here are some tips to help improve the sharpness.
      1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.
      2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.
      3) Adjust the cable box or satellite box's video output resolution to 1080i.
      4) Look for a channel that is broadcasting native HD content. For over the air/cable antenna connection, try these steps to find HD channels: Go to Menu>Settings> Broadcasting> Auto Program

To address the delayed response when using your remote you may want to try the Device Care option. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care

This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.

I hope this helps to solve your concerns. Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support:

      Hi Jessica,

We are sorry to hear that your TU7000 TV screen will not turn on. Please know we are here to help you. Please try the following troubleshooting tips to resolve your issue.

If these steps do not solve your issue please know we back this Samsung TV with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty, including authorized repair for manufacturer defects, if purchased brand-new directly from an authorized seller.

If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue:

      1. Press the Home button on the remote.

If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues.

Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power).

      2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device.

For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1.

If the TV is set to the correct source, but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time, from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After you've reconnected the external device, turn it off and then back on.

      3. Test the HDMI cable.

Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step.

The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on long cords.

To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test.

If the test says the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.

      4. Test different external devices.

The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too.

If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it.

If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you with a solution or replacement.

      Bestbuyer:

Thank you for purchasing the TU7000 TV and for your review. I am very sorry that you are experiencing Wi-Fi connection issues.

You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection:
      1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).
      2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)
      3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem.

Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings >Support> Device Care> Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test

      4) Please be sure you have the latest firmware update which enhances network connectivity. Ver 1401.7 is now available at: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/crystal-uhd-tvs-tu7000-2020

Instructions for how to update firmware are detailed here: samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062224/

I was very disappointed with this TV and returned it in 24 hours. The navigation software is not user friendly and difficult to maneuver. The menu seemed to always want to take you to Samsung channels no matter what you pick. Plus, apps that we have used on other Smart TV's were simply not available on Tizen. More importantly, the color was off. Everything had a purplish tint to it despite adjusting the standard color options, i.e. dynamic, movie, etc. Some people on shows were colored like Thanos from the Avengers. Even when you adjusted in "Expert Mode" it was a pain, but you could sort of make it better. I ended up paying a little more for the Sony X80J and it worked perfectly out of the box. I should not have tried to save a little money by buying this Samsung.

The video is horrendous if you watch a lot of tv and movies. Any scene that is lit up looks great but watch any movie that also has dark scenes and you can’t see anything. The entire screen is so dark you can’t even make out what is going on. Tried watching star wars and I couldn’t even see the first 20 mins of the movie it was so dark . I called Samsung and they couldn’t do anything over the phone so they sent a technician out. He just said he totally agrees it’s too dark but because the tv’s test picture is a beach picture it looks perfect. So they can’t do anything. Overall if I wanted to watch half a movie or show I wouldn’t have bought a brand new 4K tv. I definitely do not recommend this Samsung Tv. Or their customer service.

I don’t recommend this TV. To date I’ve been a pretty big Samsung fan but this TV has made me re-think that. Literally after just 90 days the motherboard died on it. I know how to get a hold of people and so I immediately had Samsung corporate involved - and to their credit - they had a local repair contractor come to my house and complete the required TV repair within 5 days. But still.... what a catastrophic event for a new TV. I wasn’t happy. On top of that, I don’t like the app/menus interface. It’s clunky and it sucks. Unless a person was able to test drive the TV before buying they wouldn’t immediately notice this. I just picked up the TV and took it home. So I noticed this kind of late. I’m not saying I wouldn’t buy any Samsung TV again... but I definitely wouldn’t buy this one again.

The screen went black after a few months. Took almost 5 months waiting on a repair until they finally said we could replace the tv at the original store we bought it from.. we had just moved states so that wasn’t possible. An absolute headache to spend so much on a tv and not get to use it.

I have had this tv for 13 months. It doesn’t turn on anymore and it happened from one day to the next. It was in perfect condition, no potential damage from water or anything. I tried all the tricks on YouTube, unplugging then plugging and nothing. It’s an absolutely waste of money.
