DO NOT BUY - known WiFi connection issues

DO NOT BUY THIS TV. Samsung is FULLY aware of an internet issue where the TV regularly disconnects from WiFi but has absolutely no fix for it and says “there is no way to pinpoint if it’s the tv or the internet provider with the issue”. I researched several forums both from Samsung directly and other sites to find that there is no resolution and that this issue is connected to specific models. I am disappointed that BestBuy is willing to sell a product with known issues that make it aggravating to utilize day to day. The only way I’m able to use this tv is resetting the factory settings on the tv and reconnecting the WiFi each time.

Overall the transaction was pretty easy and straight forward, the problem the sales person was not forthcoming as he was so busy trying to sell us a maintenance plan that he did not include parts of my items on the receipt and said we got a discount on the overall purchase. Look at your receipt carefully because we did not find out an item was missing until they came to install the TV and Brackets that we were charged for the installation and service plan. The sales person omitted the sound bar from the purchased and said we got a deal. I really did not appreciate being deceived in that way.

Thank you for your review of the TU7000 TV. If your TV is flickering or dimming sporadically, you may need to disable some of the energy efficiency features.

Disable Ambient Light Detection, Power Saving Mode, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer.

Settings > General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode
      Settings > General> Eco Solution> Motion Lighting

Run Picture Test. When the tested image quality is normal, check the signal of the connected device.
Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test

I hope this helps. If your issue persists, please reach out to Samsung Customer Support, and a representative will gladly assist you.

    If CoronaVirus Was A TV

If coronavirus was a tv this is it! Obviously a basic entry mode tv, it’s a 2020 but imagine quality is extremely poor! Biggest issue is during dark scenes in movies or games, you can see lots of ghosting in the edges of image your watching. I was watching the Mandalorian on Disney+ in 4K apparently and in all the dark scenes you can see all the characters have a ghosting effect around them which really bothers me. So if I can’t even enjoy watching built in apps so what’s even the point?

      Outlaw,

Samsung Smart TVs let you sync with Google Home, allowing you the convenience of using voice commands for certain functionalities, such as power on/off, volume up/down, channel change, input source change, and playback control.

Here is a step-by-step guide for syncing with Google Home:

      1) Make sure you have the SmartThings app on your mobile device. Add your TV device to the SmartThings app.

      2) Open the Google Home app on your phone. If you do not have the app on your phone, you can search for Google Home in the Google Play Store and download the app.

      3) Select the Add button. On the next screen select Set Up Device.

      4) Press on the text under the title Works with Google. Here you will see a list of accounts. Scroll down until you see SmartThings and select it or search SmartThings by pressing the search icon in the top right-hand corner.

      5) Once you have selected SmartThings , press the “Sign in with Samsung Account”’ and use the same Samsung Account which you used to sign in on the SmartThings app on your mobile.

      6) The TV will be added automatically.

I hope these tips help you enjoy voice assistance on your TU7000 TV.
Should you need assistance with any other features or usage, please contact Samsung Customer Support toll-free at 1-800-SAMSUNG and a representative will gladly help you.

I'm huge fan of Samsung products but this TV is horrible. I bought this tv in May of this year and 2 months later in july it started flickering. Today when we turned on the tv the screen is red. It looks like all the shading has red in it and it has gotten worse throughout the day. Being that I cant return it to best buy, I contacted Samsung support to tell them about it and I have to wait a week for someone to contact me just to set a date to have someone look at it. I guess I have to watch a red screen for probably the next 2 weeks. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MODEL. HORRIBLE TV THAT CANT EVEN LAST 3 MONTHS!!!!

This TV is useless if you want to view HDR shows/movies. Tried watching The Mandalorian on Disney+ and The Expanse on Prime and neither were watchable as they were too dark to see anything. Even with the brightness at max and messing with other settings (per suggestions on threads about this issue in Samsung TV's) I was barely able to produce a visible picture that ended up looked washed out. Returned this and went with a upgraded Sony that was lightyears better.

This TV is the worst. I had one completely die on me after about 6 months of use. Just got the replacement and it died after two days. What a joke

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
