    Worked great for about 3 weeks than began freezing up. After a reset the 1st 2 times it worked again. Now it won’t reset and am waiting to hear from Samsung about when they’ll be here for repairs.

      There are several preset picture modes and many custom settings that can optimize image quality for your viewing scenario.

      Go to HOME > SETTINGS > PICTURE > PICTURE MODE and choose:

      Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
      Standard: This is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
      Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
      Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
      Filmmaker: Watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is.

      In addition, the image quality on your screen depends on the source and the connection.     This is my 4th Samsung smart tv, but this is my last one. Pretty as it looks, the quality of these tv brands seems to have gone down. We own other tv's that have cost less out perform and last longer then Samsung. This Tv is really slow. Load apps sometimes take 5 minutes to load. Hulu loads the slowest. Other apps crash. Spotify can't play a song all the wat through. Has nothing to do with network connection but everything to do with hardware. Last Samsung tv network adaptor burn out 3 times.

    Worst picture quality ever! Our 4 year old Samsung TV had better picture than this TV. Guess you really get what you pay for. This is an “Edge-Lit” tv, meaning that the light is on the sides. Makes the picture very dark and not as crisp. Also, there are only 2 HDMI ports. Also, you do not have much options to play around with the contrast, brightness, sharpness, etc. We had to return it and spent a little more and got a Sony instead.

      1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).

      2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)

      3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem.

      Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test

      4) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again.

      5) Please also be sure you have the latest firmware update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

    I bought this tv 6 months ago after it freezing certain apps and only allowing samsung tv app , today it just quit working , won't power on or anything .. I have an 86" lg I'd rather spend the money and buy another one of those for 5x the money than waste my money on this tv again. Terrible experience .. especially when I didn't get the warranty because who thinks a brand new tv will break the first year (let alone 6 months )

    I’m a loyal Samsung customer but this product is the WORST TV ever. The picture is SO DARK, I can barely even see the movies or shows I’m watching it’s almost like there’s a filter on the screen. Also the apps barely work, they lag and most times won’t even open up. When they do decide to open it freezes and then takes awhile to catch up with the remote. I paid to have this mounted and now I’m also out of the return window. Samsung needs to make this right I’m very upset. Now I am seeing many others are having the same issues with this product.

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 and for your review. I am very sorry you are viewing scenes that appear too dark. A new firmware update has been released to address this issue. You may also need to manually reboot your TV after the update by either unplugging the AC cord or by pressing and holding the power button on the remote until the TV powers off and back on.

      Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.

      You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience.
      Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

    Worst customer service experience in my 43 years!

    Within 30 days of purchasing this model i experienced a ghost bluetooth connection issue, picture quality issue, then finally the TV began freezing and power cycling every 2-3 minutes. I reported the problem to Samsung on 7/8/2020 (purchase date was 6/6/2020). Long story short; there has been 4 service calls to my home, hours on the phone, replacements of the main board, power supply, and the entire panel and I have made 0 progress as far as a resolution. The television remains useless and Samsung has yet to agree to replace or reimburse.

    TV continuously turns off and then back on

    After 6 months of use tv started to power off and back on after being used one hour. Then it powers off and on every 5 minutes. Continuous problem for last 3 months. Called Samsung tech support 3 times and their solutions did not work. I checked internet for possible solutions and none worked. I reset to factory settings two or three times to no avail. If I leave tv turned off for an hour (maybe cooling off ? ), then it works ok for an hour before turning off and on again.

    We have had our Samsung TV for 28 months and just experienced the black screen. It will not turn on and when it does it only flashes without picture or sound. Reviews show that this is not a one-off many people have similar issues with their large screen Samsungs

      Hi AdamH,

      If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's entirely possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue:

      1. Press the Home button on the remote.

      If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal.

      If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues.

      Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power).

      2. Confirm that the TV is set to the same source as the external device.

      For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1.

      If the TV is set to the correct source but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced.
      After reconnecting the external device, please turn it off and back on.

      3. Test the HDMI cable.

      Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step.

      The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords.

      To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test.

      If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.

      4. Test different external devices.

      The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port.

      If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it.

    Bought TV 11/20 since spring 2021 TV goes on and off like no connection. Money went to waste

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly.

      Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue:
      1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
      2. If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest Firmware.
      3. Disable the Power On with Mobile option.
      TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on.
      If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.

      If the TV continues to turn off and on by itself continuously, then the TV will need service.

    The tv did not connect to WiFi or Ethernet. The UI was super laggy and didn’t work properly. The picture was okay for the price but too many bugs to keep it.

    The tv keeps disconnecting from the wifi. I would return it if I could . I have another Samsung that’s amazing and we never have issues with it .

      1. Use 5Ghz Wi-Fi if possible
      2. Try wired LAN if available
      3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router

      You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences.
