Don't buy this.

Thank you for your review of the Samsung TU7000 TV. Please know we are here to help you. Please try the following troubleshooting tips to prevent your TV from dimming.
You can change the dimming feature of your TU7000 TV by adjusting some of the energy efficiency features designed to reduce power consumption. The Eco sensor automatically adjusts the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level. If the Eco Sensor has adjusted the screen’s brightness level, you can select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. You can also disable these features for a steady brightness setting.
You can adjust Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer by going to Settings > General > Power and Energy Saving > and adjusting the Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, and Motion Lighting.
Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can manually select Minimum Brightness to adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to Settings > General > Eco Solution > Ambient Light Detection.

Crappy treatment by sales rep

The TV does not have an HDMI out so you have to have ARC or some none sense. Very unhappy.

1) When connecting the optical cable between the TV and A/V receiver, make sure that the sound output is set Optical on your TV.
2) In case of HDMI eARC connection, make sure that it is connected to the eARC dedicated HDMI port on your TV. However, the eARC can be used only when the A/V receiver supports the eARC feature.

Awesome TV still holding up after 3 years!

If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you do not see any picture, there are three potential issues.
1) A connection issue; is the most common problem where there is a bad connection, faulty cables, or improper installation.
2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it outputs to the TV.
3) There is something wrong with the TV, requiring a technician to assess the TV and find a solution.

Very bad manufacturing.

1) Make sure that the AC power cord is securely plugged in to the TV and the wall outlet.
2) Make sure that the wall outlet is working and the power indicator at the bottom of the TV is lit and glowing a solid red. If it is off, the TV either does not have power, or it is on and the screen is black. If it is blinking, your TV may need service.
3) Try pressing the TV Controller button at the bottom of the TV to make sure that the problem is not with the remote control.
4) If the TV turns on, your issue may be with the remote control

Great picture, remote very slow

Display is good for bright scenes, however for dark scenes it is so dark that is looks like TV just turned off. I am just glad that bestbuy was able to accept the return. Never Samsung again!

I have followed the instructions from Samsung.con but it didn’t work. It doesn’t make sense that Samsung is doing this tv, a Chinese tv is cheaper and works better than this.

Thank you for your review of the TU7000 TV. If your TV is flickering or dimming sporadically, you may need to disable some of the energy efficiency features.
Disable Ambient Light Detection, Power Saving Mode, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer.
Settings > General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection
Settings > General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode
Settings > General> Eco Solution> Motion Lighting
Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Contrast Enhancer
Run Picture Test. When the tested image quality is normal, check the signal of the connected device.
Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test

Horrible picture quality and lagging.

defective tvs and awful customer service
