Good quality but failed after a week.

It’s a great tv with good quality, but after a week it started messing up. The audio cuts out and all you get is an odd clicking sound and you can’t even turn off the tv with the remote or the power button on the tv itself. Have to unplug it to make it stop.

Complete garbage out of the box. Pixelated, horizontal lines- picture quality of a 1980s TV. If looking for a bargain, go with Vizio or Hisense. This TV is a complete disappointment, especially by a so-called reputable brand.

      Hi Malena,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for sharing your experience with your TV not displaying properly. You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps:

      1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections

      2. If the issue persists, define exactly what is wrong with the display. For example mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, and fixed horizontal or vertical lines.

      3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels?

      4. Press the Home button (which looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources?

      5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test)

      6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception

Should your issue persist, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for:

While I have no complaints about the picture on this TV, there are two things about it that should make you select another set. 1. Only two HDMI connections. If you use anything more than a single cable/sat box then this is not the TV for you. 2. Inability to sync soundbar audio to the video image. The internal speakers are, like most TV's, awful. You will want a soundbar, but I've tried several including Samsung and Polk and none of them will sync the audio and video properly. The low price of this TV means they left a lot of features out.

      ronVA:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for your review. Your thoughts regarding the number of HDMI connections are important to us and will be shared with our internal product teams.

You may want to try the Audio Pass-Through feature to address audio delay. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay.

To activate this feature, go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > set to Pass-Through

If you have tried this and your issue persists, please reach out to Samsung Customer Support so that we can provide further troubleshooting.

      Dontbuy:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for your review. I am very sorry that you are experiencing issues with your WiFi connection and remote.

You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection:

      1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).

      2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)

      3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem.

Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test

      4) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again.

Try the following troubleshooting steps to check your remote.

      1) Reset the remote by removing the batteries & pressing Power for 8 seconds. Then reinsert the batteries.

      2) Check to see if the remote is sending/receiving an infrared signal. You can check whether the signal is being transmitted by pressing the power button and observing the front tip of the remote control through the camera on your smartphone.

You may also want to optimize the smart TV performance by running the Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care

This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.

For further assistance or service, please contact us via any of the following options:

      Hi Shadie,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 and for your review. We appreciate you sharing your experience regarding your screen randomly going black. There are a number of reasons this may be happening.

      • Cable connection problem: Your Samsung Smart TV is likely to have a black screen issue due to the cable connection problem. Loose connections, damaged cables or inactive power sources are the probable cause of the problem on your TV.

      • Sources issue: Moreover, the issue could be caused by the problems associated with the sources such as DVD player, cable box or other external sources. To find out whether the problem is with the sources, press the Menu button on your remote. If the menu appears on the screen of your TV, then the problem is with the sources.

      • Inputs setting problem: The black screen issue could be due to the inputs setting problem. Your TV might be set on a wrong input. Ensure that your TV is set to the correct input to avoid this issue.

      • Firmware update issue: Your TV screen might be having a black display due to the obsolete firmware. The firmware, therefore, needs to be updated to solve this issue. A new firmware version was released for the TU7000 on 2/19/21. To check for updates, go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

      • Sleep timer/power saver mode: In cases where your TV randomly goes black, the issue could be due to the sleep timer or energy-saving mode being on. Consider turning them off to see whether the problem is solved.

      • Hardware failure: Also, your TV might be displaying a black screen due to the hardware failure. This could be a faulty circuit board, faulty TV panel or faulty LED on TV. For this case, you will need to seek for professional service to have your TV fixed.
