I was concerned about the potential for glare off the screen. The Best Buy sales staff helped research the different TVs and this one won out.

Vivid picture when not in 4k. Speakers could be better, but most use sound system or soundbar anyway. Lack of available apps compared to Fire TV.

Great starter 4k tv

Okay picture and sound is sometimes weird

I also took out the repair protection.

Great value 4K TV

It’s a 7 series panel and as such isn’t the top of the line by any stretch. However, it’s bright and supports HDR. It’s a great starter TV or a secondary TV, but if you’re looking for the absolute best picture, spend the money on OLED.

No internet hard wired or WiFi

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As so many others are stating, I cannot maintain an internet connection to the internet with Wi-Fi or even hard wired with Ethernet. Was able to connect via WiFi during setup, but the following day, no connection. WiFi modem is located next to the TV, so it’s not due to interference. I’ve tried resetting network, resetting modem, resetting Smart Hub, and unplugged TV as others have suggested, none of those worked. Google searches show this is a Samsung issue. Some talk about setting your network to manual setup and entering 8's for your DNS, didn’t work. Retrieved my ISP and DNS #’s for a full manual setup, didn’t work. Got the day off today so I will try to upload any firmware updates to a flash drive and install from there, which others have claimed worked. Not exactly how I wanted to spend my day off. This shouldn't be necessary, as I did have an internet connection during setup. This is my 5th Samsung TV and all others have completed an update upon startup if needed. I always highly recommend Samsung TV's to my friends and didn't even look at other brands while shopping for this one because I like them so much....or should I say "liked". Guess if firmware via thumb drive/USB doesn't work, I'll have to sit on hold with customer service to have them tell me to try everything I've already done. Oh, and guess who threw out the box on day one, since it was garbage day....this non happy customer, that’s who.

Samsung is great!

Set up is easy and since we also got a Samsung power bar, we can control the volume with one remote instead of having to use two.

You will need a video service or some access to 4K programming for now but this TV is a great buy for someone who just wants to be ready for 4K.

Don’t buy it for the smarts

The smart capabilities of this tv still have a long way to go. I’ve bought Samsung for the last few tv’s, I’m starting to wonder if Sony has anything better in the smart section of their tv’s?

Great picture out of the box

Had a little trouble with some dark scenes in 4K but was able to adjust it in settings. When you buy a new Tv make sure you have enough HDMI connectors.
