      The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.
      Here are some tips to help improve the sharpness.
      1. HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.
      2. If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.
      3. Adjust the cable box or satellite box's video output resolution to 1080i.
      4. Look for a channel that is broadcasting native HD content. For over the air/cable antenna connection, try these steps to find HD channels:
      Go to Menu>Settings> Broadcasting> Auto Program

    Picture quality is good but in every few minutes a big thick line pops up on the screen. Not happy with samsung new series 7 tv, wish I would have purchased Sony instead.

    White Hazing From Backlight

    I just bought this unit yesterday and had a few issues straight away. First they forgot to put screws for the legs in my box!!! Second once I plugged in the set to review the picture quality I noticed the backlights were showing haze all around the frame of the tv with a very large hazy area in the top left corner. Quality I would expect from an off brand not Samsung. Finally the new remote has way too many buttons! I enjoyed the simplicity of the older remote with a circle and minimal buttons. It was very well designed. Not sure who thought the 100 button remote was a better choice.

    The price is good but, like I read in other reviews, the Wifi needs improvements. It lags when streaming online. My Tv sits next to my router and still pauses. I ended up using Roku and works much better.

    TV will not stay connected to the wifi network

    This is the 2nd one we have had to return over the course of one week. This tv will not stay connected to the wifi network. Every 3 days or so it will disconnect and the tv will not find any networks. The only fix i have found is to do a soft reset by unplugging the power cable which resets the connection. This gets very annoying after awhile. There are a number of complaints concerning the wifi issues online that this tv has.

    Wifi connection problem

    We had cable install new DVR and Wifi and we purchased a new router from you. Everytime we turn our TV off we lose connection to Wifi and have to unplug the TV and plug it back on and then reconnect. Neither Best Buy nor Samsung will take ownership of this issue.

      One possible cause for the low volume is the source. Some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low.
      We recommend you try a Sound Test under Support, then Self Diagnosis, then select Start Sound Test. Another way to test the source volume is to test an internal streaming source like Netflix/YouTube to compare.

    Wifi sucks!

    Very disappointed!! Kept disconnecting off WiFi! Only way it would if was with a factory reset and yes it was updated and still did it. Ended up returning it after a week. It’s a shame because other than that issue it’s a great tv.

    I had this tv for 1 week and tried everything I could find online to fix the issue I was having. I replaced a different smart tv with this one. Hulu is what I use since I do not have cable service. Every 20-30 seconds the movement lags. I couldn’t find a thread online but found somewhat similar issues with this specific model. I can not commit to a tv that has drove me insane from the moment I turned it on. Every other app works fine and gaming from a PS4 and Xbox one. If Hulu wasn’t the main thing I used then this wouldn’t really be an issue. Spend a little more for a better TV

    Not good picture quality. Sound isn't good. I'm really disappointed in this model. I've always loved Samsung TV's. Definitely spend the money to upgrade to the next model. I returned mine.

    Bought this TV specifically to mirror with my refrigerator on its Family Hub. Doesn't do so and Samsung support tells me it is "not compatible" with Family Hub.

    2nd TV in model having major issues

    We had to return our first TV of the same model withing the first week. The screens darkens to where it almost blacks out. We turned of eco mode and adjusted advanced settings to dynamic per Samsung and Geek Squad. They sent out a rep to advise us it was defective and authorized an exchange. Now, with the new TV, the darkening issues are worse and it's been less than 30 days. It is also flashing across the screen. I'm aware this cant be addressed at the moment but I cant even get in touch with Geek Squad to have the issues on record for when the pandemic is under control.

    Purchased without knowing it was 4K. Recently purchased 4K player along with 4K Cable and Still NO difference. SAME picture as My last Tele. What a Rip-off.

    TV has a hard time connecting to WiFi even when all of my other devices are successfully connected. Changes modes by itself which is probably supposed to be a good feature but does not do it correctly.

    Dark area on the screen after two years

    Not only is there a white Shadow on the screen you must login to a Samsung account every time you want to download an app. SOOOOO annoying. What do all my apps have to do with Samsung??? Netflix Samsung/Hulu Samsung / Disney Plus Samsung/ Apple TV Samsung. Imagine if you had to log into apple every time to launch an App. YES ITS THATS BAD. I dislike any product that forces you to login constantly. I would have spent much more for a better product and software that doesn't well you know....

    TV looks great but when I go to change a channel, the screen often goes black and appears to turn off. Have to contact Samsung. It;s lees than a month old.
