Great tv but the blue tooth doesn’t work on it after about 1 month. My sound bar stopped working with it. Thought it was it, but then I tried to hook up my power book blue tooth and it won’t work ether.

    Get the Geek Squad Warranty

Great TV right up until right after the manufacturer warranty ran out and it developed a line across the TV. Luckily I had the geek squad warranty and was able to put it towards a new TV.

TV Failed and Samsung Customer Service is a Mess

My 65" failed under warranty. The LCD display failed to start up and the TV is stuck in a power cycling mode. There is no fix for it. The TV had to be returned, but I had to spend a ton of time fighting for it. They seemed to want me just to leave it alone. I had to contact Samsung each time. They offer no valuable updates. You need to do everything yourself. Although it's always bad to have your TV fail, at least knowing it's under warranty is helpful (usually). Hindsight, in my case, I would have saved more money due to the time wasted with Samsung warranty than if I would have just lost the money outright. They changed their story at least 3 times, sent me even more emails where they were confused if the order was cancelled or not, and then eventually said the original merchant was authorized to refund my purchase, which they knew nothing about. In my case, the screen failed, and it kept trying to power up but couldn't. This leaves you having to return or swap a TV with all of your passwords still stored. In the end, the store had to refund the full purchase of my 65" Samsung TV, and I was out literally 3 weeks of my time. What a mess.

    Keeps disconnecting from WiFi

    Posted .

TV looks great, has a very decent picture quality for the price. Problem is, TV keeps disconnecting from WiFi and the only way to reconnect is to restore TV to its factory settings and set up again. Whole lot of threads in various forums regarding this common Samsung problem. Taking it back this weekend to the store.

      EwaldRichter,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing WiFi connection issue.
Please try the following troubleshooting tips:
      1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).

      2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)

      3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem.
Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > General. Then, select Network > Network Status. The network status test will finish and show the status of your network connection. If the test concludes that the unit needs service, please contact us via any of the following options:
      1) Phone: 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs) Available 8AM - 12AM EST (Mon-Fri) / 9AM - 11PM EST (Sat-Sun)
      2) LiveChat or Email: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/#contact_us_for_support
      3) Facebook Messenger: https://www.facebook.com/samsungsupport

My unit has very bad backlight bleed. There is also a subtle dark stripe that goes down the middle of the panel.

    Doesn't do what is advertised

As for the picture, it's good. Just good. Like other 7 series TV's this one does NOT adjust with room lighting. Samsung advertises this TV works with Alexa and iGoogle, it doesn't. The sound sucks, you'll need a soundbar. If it were a 32" spare TV it would receive more stars. At 65" it is a big disappointment.

    Don’t do it.

I purchased this TV on June 21, and 3 days ago the screen went black. The store won’t replace it because it’s been more than 14 days since I bought it. The geek squad repairman said he would have to order the part and they could hopefully have it installed in another 3 day’s. This is ridiculous. I haven’t even had this TV for 4 months. I had an LG for over 5 years with no issues and decided to upgrade to a larger screen, so I got this one. Biggest mistake ever. Should have stayed with LG. Very dissatisfied with Samsung and with Best Buy’s return policy on defective items.

Tv Worked fine and I was very pleased however after 3 years I'm starting to see black line in one side of screen. I didn't expect it to last forever however I didn't think I would be buying a new TV so soon.

    Worst experience ever

I purchased this set 3 years ago and last week I was unable to turn the TV on. I called samsung they referred me to a dealer able to fix it. It appeared that the whole board has a problem and needs to be changed. This set cost me 2000$ at the time of purchase and now the board needs to be replaced. Of course samsung said the warranty has expired and they can’t do nothing. No more samsung products whatsoever.

Not even 3 years old and needs replacing. First 6 months - mobo and screen needed replacing. 1.5 years - forced new app installs, now runs out of memory 2 years - back light dead.

TV failed with less than 3 years of use. Screen just suddenly went snowy. But, I will stick with Samsung. Just tried a Sony Bravia and it was terrible.

capacitor will go out within a couple years. Then Samsung will do nothing about it. They do not stand behind their products, Poor service, just like their washing machines.
