There are plenty of HDMI ports and the tv has a power source which is awesome because almost everyone is using some device like a Roku or fire stick.

Seems like, Not a good TV.

It not even 2 months old yet. It crashed today afternoon. The screen just keeps blinking, and the tv does turn off. I had to remove the main plug to shut it. I tried turning it on again after a while but it just flickers, does not turn on or off. I called the Samsung service line and they said that someone from their repair shops will contact me in 24 hours to repair it. It’s not even 2 months old and they are not ready to replace it. They insisted on sending a technician to repair it. I don’t understand why. But that was the only option so I had to go with it. I would not recommend buying this, cheap quality. Can’t comment yet on the customer service, will mention it in the future update. I will write an update after the technician comes and does his/her job.

Great price but poor quality

I set everything up on the tv and starting watching Netflix on a 4K amazon fire stick. I noticed the top left corner was very hazy and very annoying when watching in a dark room and some light. I have purchased Samsung TVs before in the past but this one is crap. I have an older Samsung LED tv and the picture looks way better than this 4K UHD. I don’t understand how they can consider this a 4K UHD tv! I am returning this tv first thing in the morning!

WiFi Disconnects

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The tv quality is pretty good the store really made it look nice but when bringing the tv home the picture quality doesn’t look that HD as it says it does and the WiFi keeps DISCONNECTING it has a hard time to stay connected i have the router behind the tv and very fast internet. Before buying this tv i read these reviews and looked at other reviews there are others that are having the same problem but i ignored the red flags and continued to buy this tv because of the price and how slim it looked I was hoping that i wouldn’t come across this problem and maybe it’s their connection but now that I AM the one dealing with the same problem it’s not there connection because i have gotten really fast internet and it’s right behind the tv how is it that it disconnects

Samsung is aware of the issue and has been working on a solution. Once it is available, a firmware update will be released to remedy this issue.
Meanwhile, we recommend to reboot your TV as a temporary fix.
Please unplug TV’s power cord and re-plug in, or press power button on the remote, hold power button 5+ sec to restart the TV.

Do not get sucked in you will be disappointed

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Samsung - 65" Class - LED - 7 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR replacing a 55" Samsung. I have always bought Samsung and never had an issue until this television. The picture is terrible, colors look washed out and the dark scenes are so dark that it is unwatchable. Had two Samsung technicians come out, the first so rude and obnoxious that I asked them to leave. The second laughingly said, I can see what you are saying but I have to do what I'm told. Checks a few settings and says, call again and they will send another tech and actually says, maybe a smaller TV would clear it up. Samsung will do nothing and now I am stuck with a lemon. I've owned at least 8 Samsung TV's over the years and that will be the last one. My wife actually asked if we could move to the basement and bring back the 55" television - how embarrassing.

HORRIBLE PICTURE!

I get that this isn't an expensive TV so I don't have unrealistic expectations. But the picture on this is really bad...REALLY BAD. To start the picture is very dark and I've tried all the different settings. Then it is extremely pixelated, especially on scenes that are already dark. Then there is also blurring on quick movements in the dark scenes. My 2 other TV's which are LG's that are over 10 years old blow this TV out of the water. This is my first Samsung TV and probably my last.

Please know that the TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out.
It also has several preset picture modes and many custom settings, allowing users to adjust images to their liking.
The Dynamic Mode is our typical store demo mode and is the brightest among all presets.
Standard Mode is ideal for home and everyday viewing.
Movie Mode is the closest setting to calibration the way the director intended as it uses less enhancements and will likely result in the truest picture.
In addition, the quality of the image on your screen depends on the source and the connection.
HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4K content will provide the best picture quality.
The quality of the streaming content depends largely on the speed of your internet, as most content providers have adaptive streaming that will automatically adjust the image quality based on the network bandwidth.

Broken in less than a year

It has been used less than 5 times from when we set it up. So its hardly ever on. Less than a year later the screen is broken. A quarter of the screen is blacked out. Hopefully Samsung will do right and fix this.

Broken in the package

The box had no visible damage from the outside.m, however when I unboxed it as per the instructions on the box I noticed that the styrofoam padding on the back side of the tv was broken and missing. I honestly didn’t think anything of it at the time. However once the tv was setup and I turned it on the right side screen had a huge crack on it and half the screen wasn’t working. I have read reviews from other buyers who have faced similar issues with their TVs. I’ll be heading back to Best Buy in the morning and returning this unit. Samsung needs to do a better job on quality control.

I am very sorry to see that your RU7100 TV screen exhibited cracks upon opening and setup. Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of damage, a TV is a very fragile device and can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation -- laid on its side or tilted -- during transit, internal damage could have been done.
