LCD panel died outside of warranty

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, the the lcd panel died 4 months after the complimentary 2-year warranty with my credit card expired and it's not cost effective to repair. Wish I would have opted for the extended protection plan, but I didn't expect it to die with no physical damage done to the TV itself. Because of this, I probably won't buy another Samsung TV again.

Issues with this TV

Turning on and off on its own, flashing and turning off, turning the menu for apps and turning off on its own. It settled down after changing out the HDMI but not sure it's right. May have to return it if it acts up again. This was a Christmas gift for my daughter and I want it to be right. Samsung has a great reputation but every company has issues from time to time.

Not a very good picture

Won't Even Last 2 Full Years

First it was every a few weeks and had to turn it off to get it back to normal. It got worse and worse over time. I am going to contact customer service to see what my options are. I will update my review.

Terrible Terrible Terrible

Didn't even bother to ask Bestbuy to pick up and credit my account. It went directly to the local recycling center. I did not want an future customer to experience the level of buyers remorse that I did with this TV. Absolute garbage.

Samsung would not help at all. The repairs cost more than what it is worth. $1,200 for a TV that didn’t last 2 years.

Broken after less than 2 years

Changing HDMI cords and ports didn’t change anything, and turning it off didn’t fix it. It’s basically a useless TV now.

Please know that your RU8000 TV does support PS4 console and most speakers via either Optical output or HDMI connection.

Corner crack?

The tv displays just fine but the crack is apparently somewhat common with this model (check rtings review, they had the same issue). Going to try my protection plan not hopeful..
