Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased 12/2019 and back light went out a few months ago. Of course it’s out of warranty. They don’t even sell this series anymore. I wish I’d gone with the series 7

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Always been a Samsung fan and this tv meets all my expectations. Great that you can download most streaming app and cut out the need for a separate box. The only negative would be the weight - very heavy

Picture perfect! Love the Q series clarity!
Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a 55in Q series, so there was no turning back! I love the picture & the motion rate! I just upgraded to a 65in! I love Samsung! My new favorite is Samsung! I used to only buy Sony, but for the last 3 years, I’ve bought nothing but Samsung!

Waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Originally loved the TV and hated the basoc remote. Started to notice random color issues after about 10 months-1 year...started to get more frequent (every few months). Yesterday, just after months it died. Samsung said the cost of repair would probably be more than a new one. Not happy.

Samsung quality has slipped into the gutter!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this model UN65NU8000FXZA in January of 2019. I was very happy with the picture and sound quality until almost exactly 16 months later. As of last night, the TV has completely failed in one evening and is now a very expensive giant paper weight! Did the 2 years interest free financing so I didn't even get it payed off before turning into a worthless piece of crap!! What a huge disappointment from Samsung!! STAY AWAY and shop for another brand to save heartache and your hard earned money!!!

Decent picture, lousy remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was seriously tempted to return this TV based on the remote. Never seen a remote control so unfriendly. Volume and channel buttons are useless. Menu items are quite difficult to access. Decent picture quality if viewed from the front. Any side angle is not suitable. Need to close the blinds and darken my room. Very reflective screen. I have ALWAYS bought Samsung products. Next time I will look elsewhere. Don't believe that beautiful TEST image in the showroom.

Posted .Chuck,
Thank you for your purchase and review.
We value your user feedback and will share it with our product team.
There are several preset picture modes and many custom settings that can optimize image quality to your viewing scenario.
Go to HOME > SETTINGS > PICTURE > PICTURE MODE and choose:
1) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments, like in retail stores
2) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
3) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
4) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
Here is a link to the downloadable eManual, where you can find a detailed guide to configuring advanced picture setting (pages 95-98):  http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201909/20190919132100565/MUSATSCR-4.0.0_EM_MUSE_USA_ENG-US_190731.0.pdf
In addition, the quality of the image on your screen depends on the source and the connection.
HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4K content will provide the best picture quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out.
The quality of the streaming content depends largely on the speed of your internet, as most content providers have adaptive streaming that will automatically adjust the image quality based on the network bandwidth.
Please also give us the opportunity to assist you with image quality adjustments tailored to your preferred viewing experience. You can reach us via any of the following options:

The Nightmare
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture screen is nice, no issues with the look. The programming is a complete and total nightmare. This is one of those TV's that you have to sign away your privacy rights in order to make all the functions work. Having done that the next obstacle is entering a UID (email address) and password. The on screen keyboard layout is a total mess, perhaps designed for some cyrillic language, its click, select and enter, change screen, then click again, then change screen, etc. etc.. Hope your email address is simple and your password even easier. Once you get by that if you are not getting just the free channels that come with it your TV (Samsung Plus) it won't like it, especially if you want it to be wireless. It's preference is using the Samsum Plus app, and if you erase that it will try to take over the function for your cable provider (ours is Comcast/Xfinity). Speaking of which, you will find you will have to constantly go on the Internet and re-enter your cable UID and password. Brings you back to the click and click. So once you are through with that if you bought the compatible soundbar you are in for another treat. If you don't install the woofer you can't balance all the sound in the soundbar, and if you don't have a hardwire connection it won't store the connection in its memory so every time you want to use the soundbar you get to re-Pair it. Sweet, a waste of time, you won't get your money's worth from your cable provider and spend a lot of time trying to run around things to make it work. Now if you just use Netflix, prime, or maybe are a gamer you may be set, But if you like watch a lot of channels, including international programs and the beautiful sounds (I remember,, sigh) this TV is not for you. BTW, we own 5 other smart TV's (different brands) for our rental units... no problems..

Ugghhhh.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible. Power Board fried worse then Popeyes chicken after 4 years of use with a surge protector. It almost caught on fire from the looks of the inside panel when I removed the plastic cover.

Caution
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the Samsung quality I’m used to. Picture not as crisp and randomly starts powering off and on at 2 years old. Never had an issue like this from a Samsung.

Terrible Customer Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this tv but only difference is my model # is UN65TU8000FXZA, but same tv as the one listed above. Love the tv however I was supposed to receive a $100 e-credit with the purchase. I still have not received the e-credit and after spending 4.5 hours on the phone and 14 virtual assistants, my model is no longer on the website and so there doesn't seem to be any way to verify that I was supposed to receive this promotion. I am supposed to receive a call back within 72 hours. This is very frustrating, I should have just purchased this from Amazon. However, I do like the tv.

Worst Product Ever Purchased
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a similar TV in December 2018 and the panel went out after 7 months. Samsung sent a service rep to fix it and it failed again after a year. This TV didn’t last 2 years, which is fine if you feel like purchasing a tv every 2 years. Customer service told me that my “TV is out of warranty and there is no service center in my area so I have it repaired” they refuse to let me speak with management about my issue.
