My DVD and VCR players would hook to it and work fine. They don't seem to be compatible with this Samsung. I also use cable (Spectrum) as service provider. I don't know if my sound issue is a result of cable/box or the TV set but the sound is always a word or two behind the picture. This is annoying.

But i have noticed that the picture will freeze sometimes and the only way to get it to work is to unplug it entirely. Also the you tube TV app has to load sometimes and takes tok long.

I had an older model but it got broken when I was moving so I decided to upgrade and all the new features were amazing! I especially love the Ambient mode. Good graphics. Good Channels and I loved the remote!

The Geek Squad came out and determined that it couldn’t be fixed and the gave us a brand new TV. Get the extended warranty, it was worth every dime that we spent on it!

But I would opt for the q70 if you want an all around better tv for everything not just gaming alone
