The enhanced HDMI ARC will not display standard arc. Thought the tv was defective, so I had it exchanged. Replacement has the same issue. If I want to use that feature, I have to buy a new AVR that supports EHDMI ARC.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues.
The HDMI eARC is backward compatible with ARC devices, and thus should work with your older generation Sony AVR.
Here is a quick connection guide for your reference:
1. Connect an HDMI cable into your audio device's ARC port. This is usually the HDMI OUT port, but check your device's user manual just in case.
2. Connect the other end into the HDMI IN (ARC) on the TV. Using the remote, navigate to Settings. Then, select Sound and select Sound Output. From there, set the audio output for your TV.

Picture quality is ok. I docked a star due to some light bleed on the bottom out of the box. It's only noticeable when it's black. Not really sure the headache to unmount and return is worth it. I wish there were hand grips on the back to allow for easier adjustments.

I'm on a walker and I have made 3 trips to Best Buy in Lakewood Ca. to have a tv installed, one removed and placed outside. The salesman (Cody)said he knew what I needed and he didn't. So I purchased additional items I didn't need. I had to pay 3 different times for issues that should have been taken care care of on the first visit. The installers have created a cable mess on top of my fireplace where the other tv was. The other tv was in place and was clean on top of my fireplace. When I returned to discuss my issue, my original salesman didn't even want to speak to me. This BB really sucks.
