I have a 6 and 7 series in the house as well, and the 8 series blows it away in both picture quality and sound. I was glad I spend the extra $180.

The remote is either slow or not responsive and the menu overlays the screen too much and is not intuitive like my other tv was.

However, had problems with the remotes and programming them so they would work independently and not operate both tv’s. Other then that, both are great for football Sunday and all sport events.
