It was a Christmas gift and my Daughter & Son-in-Law love watching their programs on the big screen.

We bought a 65" Samsung smart TV as an open-box item. Parts were missing, but the sales person made us aware. It was the stand and hardware, but we were mounting it on the wall. So no problem. However, the power cord was also missing. When we notified the store, they located a cord but charged us for shipping it. It wasn't much, but we didn't expect to pay anything for their failure to make sure the necessary parts were included. The TV is great - no problems at all. Would have given Best Buy 5 stars if the cord had been included. First problem we've ever had with our many purchases at Best Buy.

I purchased the Samsung 65" 8 Series to replace my 55" 1080 TV. I've been waiting for years to get a new TV and after a few weeks I'm ready to review my new TV. The good: It looks pretty good, Netflix and video games appear to be at 4k. The HDMI ports are easy to access and the remote is more functional than I expected. It is very thin! The bad: Several apps come preinstalled and can't be removed, hidden or rearranged. Adding apps appear in a different location. With tablets and phones allowing us to move, hide, arrange, delete and add apps where we want I can not fathom why Samsung went this route. I would have paid $50-$100 more for this TV if it had a better interface, digital antenna (not included) and removal of the Samsung channels. I am a Samsung fan, I've had several phones, watches and earbuds. I will not purchase another Samsung TV until they make it more consumer friendly.
