Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.

Dirty screen effect is very noticeable

I will go into some of the pros of this model. Aesthetically, it is very thin and a delight to look at. It is relatively light for a 65 incher. Set up was quick and intuitive. And finally, picture quality is good for the price. Now for downsides. First and certainly the worst complaint I have, my specific unit has a very bad dirty screen effect when the picture is dark. It forms a very large ring the size of the height of the screen. This is very noticeable, and once seen, cannot be unseen. I have tinkered for about 2 hours trying to find picture settings that would reduce this effect, but sadly it is still very noticeable. Now onto lesser grievances. The power cord is ridiculously short. If you are planning to wall mount this, the cord will only be long enough if you have an outlet directly below the tv and 1-2 feet above the ground. The decision to make this cord short doesn't even make any sense...it is a slight inconvenience if the cord is too long...ez fix. But this cord is so short, my power surge is literally hanging from my wall mounted AU 8000 TV until I can find a better solution. Lastly Menu navigation was laggy and unimpressive. Overall, If my unit did not suffer from such horrendous dirty screen, this TV would have been easily 4 stars. I expected better QA from Samsung. Not even sure how it is acceptable to send out something like this. I'm still undecided if I am willing to go through the hassle of setting up a return and getting a new unit at the cost of 2 half days off to await pick up of old unit and delivery of new unit.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me tell you: This Tv is amazing, everything is great and smooth, picture quality is so good, i have a Sony 800H, LG and Sharp, but this one is excellent, the reason for the 3 stars is because when i had it already in the stand after all the hard work, the remote control wasn't working right out of the box, so goodbuy set up lol, that one went to the trash right away( The remote.) fortunately, Amazon has plenty of similar remotes with same day delivery so i bought two in case and they are working flawless. Samsung, I know the quality of your products, but this was... I'm not going to do the hard work again before check your products first, i'm so sorry

Thank you for purchasing the AU8000 and for sharing your experience with your remote not working out of the box. Please make sure the remote is paired with the TV for functionality.
To pair your remote:
1) Point the remote at the front of your TV.
2) Press and hold the Play/Pause buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more.
3) Wait for the Pairing Complete confirmation on your TV.

You can spend less and you can spend more, but this TV sits in a sweet spot of paying a little bit more for a quality, up to date, brand name TV without spending for a lot of extra feature of the higher end models. The TV looks really sleek on its double stands, but make sure you are not expecting a center post stand like many other models.
