We’ve had WiFi connection issues since day 1. Tech support, while technically existing, is all but nonexistent. I strongly encourage anyone contemplating is overpriced paperweight to spend their money elsewhere.

1. Use 5G Wi-Fi if possible
2. Try wired LAN if available
3. Try repositioning the router, so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to Settings > Support > Software Update.
You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience.

poor sound

Now as far as the TVs I purchased the sound quality is not good at all, Now I either will have to purchase sound bars which I was not expecting and just adds to further cost. not happy about the options

I get a garbled picture at times. My sound also cuts out at times. and the sound bar had to be connected through my old DVD player, because the cable Best Buy sent for the sound Bar did not work for the tech like it was suppose to.

Most cable and satellite boxes today can be connected with HDMI, and that’s a good thing, because HDMI offers the best picture and sound. If your cable box has component connections, the first thing you may want to do is contact your cable company and see if there is an upgraded box available. If not, you will need a component to HDMI adapter if the TV does not support component out of the box, and this may cause image issues.
1. Make sure the TV and cable or satellite box are turned off.
2. Connect an HDMI cable to your cable or satellite box’s HDMI out port, which should be located on the back.
3. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to any of the empty HDMI ports on your Samsung TV. Note: Make sure to remember what number the port is so you can change your TV’s source to it in a moment.
4. Turn on your TV and the cable or satellite box. Now depending on your TV, a few different things may happen:
Your TV may automatically recognize that you connected a cable or satellite box and not only switch to the source, but change the name of the source to the name of your cable box. You can now watch TV and control the cable box with your Samsung Smart TV remote.
Note: This only works when using an HDMI connection.
If you continue to experience issues, you may want to follow these troubleshooting steps to check your connection.
1) Power off all HDMI devices connected to TV
2) Disconnect all HDMI cables from TV
3) Power off and unplug the TV's power cord from the wall outlet
4) Press and hold the TV power button for 30 seconds
5) Reconnect HDMI cables back to HDMI ports on TV
6) Re-plug the TV's power cord back into the wall outlet and check the TV.
Please know that a soundbar can be connected to the AU8000 via both Optical or HDMI. Connecting your soundbar to the TV with HDMI will give you the best possible audio. Samsung soundbars include either the digital optical cable, or an HDMI cable depending on the model of soundbar. Both cables are compatible with Samsung TV's and you should not need to purchase an additional cable. For the best audio experience, we recommend connecting your soundbar direct to the TV when available.

I am very sorry you are experiencing issues with a distorted picture. Please know we are here to help.
The issue may be due to not connecting correctly with an external device. Please check your connection with these steps:
1. Disconnecting and reconnect the power cables and HDMI cables on the back of your TV, then unplug the power cord and plug it back into the wall outlet
2. If the external device supports UHD video, use a dedicated HDMI cable (4K) for HDMI video playback.
3. If a component cable is used, make sure that the colored connectors are connected to the matching connectors on the external device and the TV.
4. Check the cable connection if you use a set-top box. The cable you need to check depends on the type of set-top box.
5. Make sure that your access point is connected to the Internet. If not, disconnecting and reconnecting its power cable may be required.
6. If the problem persists, check the video output settings in the settings menu of the external device, and ensure that your TV supports the video output mode.
The compression of video content may cause picture distortions, especially in fast-moving pictures from sports programs and action movies.
- If the signal reception is weak or poor, screen distortion may be visible, but it is not a malfunction.
- Mobile phones used close to the TV (within 3.2 ft) may cause noise on analog and digital channels.
If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test).

I am very sorry to see that your screen exhibited damage upon opening and setup. Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of harm, a TV can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation -- laid on its side or tilted -- during transit, damage could have been done.

Thank you for your review of the AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and sharing your experience with slow navigation and remote response time.
To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
