I returned the tv and got another…. And this weeek its frozen twice on me that i had to unplug the tv and plug it back in for it to work. Very disappointed with it! My old samsung tv has worked great for 10years not a single issue and still works i just wanted a upgrade. Seems like i got a downgrade! I dont think ill be buying samsung again.

First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update, Version 1120.1. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.
If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.

Solid TV for the price

Nothing fancy here; it's a good TV for the price. My only hangup is the processor is a little slow with navigating the menu, but I can't expect it to be perfect without adding at least another $200 onto the tag.

The Samsung was quick to add itself to my electronic ecosystem..... which made integration very easy.

My 55' inch tv started going out and I needed a new tv was needed for football season. The CU8000 is awesome and a great pic and sound. I am definitely satisfied and happy with my purchase.

Right out of the box, I noticed several faint lines running horizontally across the screen, which became more pronounced with darker images. Despite trying different HDMI cables and adjusting the settings, the issue persisted, significantly affecting the viewing experience. It's especially noticeable when watching movies or shows with high-contrast scenes, making it hard to enjoy content without being distracted by these disturbing lines. While the TV's features, such as the sound quality and smart functionality, are decent, the screen defect is a major flaw that overshadows its positives. I reached out to customer service, but the troubleshooting steps didn't resolve the problem, and the issue seems to be a manufacturing defect. It's frustrating to invest in a new product only for it to arrive with such an obvious problem. I would not recommend this TV unless you're willing to risk a defective display.

Sound is Horrible

I tried all the settings, and man, it looks like I will need to purchase a sound bar. I would recommend the TV, but consider getting a sound bar or additional speakers.
