      Hi ale2070,

      We appreciate your feedback on the DU7200 TV's image quality. I believe what you are describing is a feature called Auto Motion Plus, which eliminates ghosting and blurring that occurs from fast-moving images. These motion smoothing settings look great on live TVs, like sporting events or parades, which are filmed at 30 frames per second. Most movies, however, are filmed at 24 frames per second and are not intended to be viewed with these features. When turned on, this causes the dreaded soap opera effect.

      To Change Motion smoothing settings on your TV:
      Navigate to Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus Settings (Picture Clarity Settings).
      1. The default setting is Auto. This means the feature automatically turns on and off based on the type of program being watched.
      2. Select Auto Motion Plus (Picture Clarity) to change the setting to either Off or Custom.
      If you select Custom, three additional options are available:

      • Blur Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Blur setting.
      • Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting.
      • LED Clear Motion: This option allows you to configure the LED backlight to sharpen fast-moving images. Select to turn On or Off.

      You can also go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.

    Best Buy Has Really Gone Downhill

    I recently purchased an "Open-Box Excellent" TV from Best Buy and had a very disappointing experience. When I arrived at the store to pick up my TV, they handed it to me in a box for a completely different model. While I was driving home, I received a call from the store letting me know they had forgotten to include some parts. I had to turn around to pick up the power cable and remote. When I finally got home and unpacked the TV, I discovered that the stand was missing, and the power cable they provided was also the wrong one. I tried reaching out to the store, but there is no way to call them directly. I attempted to contact both online and phone support, but neither could connect me to the store or resolve my issue. I ended up having to drive all the way back to the store. Their response was basically, “tough luck—you can return the TV if you want.” They offered no additional guidance or support. I asked if I could get a shipping label to return the product since it clearly did not meet the "Open-Box Excellent" description, but was told to contact online support. When I did, I was told that shipping the TV back was not an option. The customer service throughout this process has been terrible, especially considering I am a Totaltech member and have regularly shopped at Best Buy for years. After this experience, I am seriously reconsidering Best Buy as a place to make future purchases.

    Purchased this TV 7 4 2024. Issues started off as freezing and going blank in November, and I should have returned it then. The TV then worked well until around Christmas it would make a loud pitch, and the screen would go orange and come back. I thought maybe the cable was well, it wasn't, and the pitch and screen issue started twice a day, and then recently, every time it was on. Sunday 1 13, it pitched, then the orange screen, then shut off, and never came back on.

    This tv sucks don’t recommend it, got messed up within a year, purchased warranty when I bought it. Geek squad said they can’t work on it because it’s Samsung.. was told to contact them for support. Scheduled an appointment with them that they keep rescheduling further down the week. This whole experience has been beyond frustrating. What was the point in buying the warranty with BestBuy in the first place if I was being redirected to someone else.
