    Ive had this tv for a week. If you are planning to watch sports, this tv isnt great. Movies look good though. I will be returning this for something else.

      We appreciate your thoughts on the picture quality of Samsung’s DU8000 TV. If the image you’re seeing isn’t to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to adjust.

      Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
      ...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
      1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
      2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
      3. Eco: Provided to save energy
      4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
      5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

      You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

    The tv is ok. To me the picture is no where near my sony tv picture and it does not calibrate with my netflix, prime, or apple tv like my sony. Dont get me wrong, its not a bad tv, its just you have to really play with it and fine tune it in order to get what you want. The internet said you can do picture calibration on samsung things but I can not find that option on the app so i assume you cant calibrated this tv with your phone.

      Thank you for your feedback. Please know you can adjust the picture you are seeing through your remote control or through your Smartphone on the SmartThings app. To do so, go to the app and click on your TV. From there, go to the Menu button on the bottom right.

      On this Menu screen, you will see multiple settings options such as Picture Mode, Color Tone, Picture Clarity, and Brightness.

    This TV may look all nice and fancy and it’s listing it’s not. TV was advertised as 120hz turns out to be 60hz. This TV literally has a mind of its own. If you have multiple HDMI’s plugged in TV at once, as I’m sure most gamers would different consoles and all that. Let’s say you have Xbox in HDMI 1 and PlayStation in HDMI 2.. even if before you turn the TV on you start HDMI two which is your PlayStation as soon as the TV comes to life it shuts off your PlayStation and turn your Xbox on and then immediately pulls up the Xbox screen so that you can’t even stay at the Samsung home screen to choose your HDMI This TV literally has a mind of its own and it was designed as I can only describe as an idiot. Please don’t waste your money on this TV. I don’t know how they’ve gone downhill. I had a Samsung TV years ago and it was nowhere near this stupid they are literally making worse TVs every year we may have better technology, but the people that build them and design them are idiots and they’re making everything worse.
