It was for my sister who has FTD and we were waiting for her bedroom furniture. I was afraid it would be not of good quality and by holding off on the unboxing, would not be able to return. That was not the case. The item is very nice. It is a little different from the other televisions in the house, so we are still in the "learning the technology" phase. However, the picture is clear and adjusts to the lighting in the room. That is too cool. More importantly... my sister likes it. Thank you.

The high the model is the better the reality and specs are for the tv. This is a great deal on a lower end model tv. This was just a bedroom purchase so I plan to get another one even over later for the living room. I stand by Samsung!

Sure makes a big difference from the 47" TV this is replacing. The picture is crystal clear and very vibrant with deep rich colors. The speakers are fine but are a little lacking, which is like most TV's, so I paired it to a Samsung soundbar and sub woofer. Would definitely recommend this TV.

The screen is GORGEOUS, colors are amazing and the size is perfect for my place. There's TONS of free media on the TV. The sound is very good and NO COMPLAINTS about the TV. The price was quite reasonable and free delivery was a nice bonus. I plugged my Blu-ray player into the HDMI port and it recognized the model. I would buy this again.

I like the 65” size. As I wanted to size up. The cons: the color is not that great compared to my LG 60” tv. Those colors were bright, the black was black and blue-ish. I feel like it’s overall a cool, blue tone. Also, the sound is lower. I noticed it immediately when I was watching TV at night and had the volume at my regular option of 5. The highest number I could have it and still hear, but not bother anyone else. I have to put it at 8 for me to hear anything. Not happy with my purchase. Considering swapping to my old TV. It’s a shame because I paid around the same amount for the LG as I did for this one and it doesnt compare.

We appreciate your feedback on the sound and picture quality of the Samsung DU8000 TV. There are several picture and sound settings that you can adjust to fit what you are watching best.
Go to Home > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Most suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.
Regarding low volume, there are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience.
1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.
2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> All Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode.
Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might need to be set higher. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.

great basement TV

We watch the basement TV about 20% as much as the family rook, so I wasn't prepared to go wild on the spend. I have this connected to a home theatre receiver and it found and identified (by manufacturer and model#) immediately and added it as the #1 source. Includes smart apps if that's the way you choose to go (I use a 4k Apple TV and it also knew that). all in all a great value. Recommended for a second TV.

From streaming live tv to even gaming on the tv, with NO console at all! Highly recommend getting this for your home especially if you are more of a person to not use cable and watch streaming apps. Picture quality is outstanding watching tv or even gaming. Also, it has voice actions with the remote so if you just don’t want to type the whole thing out, you could use the mic that’s in the remot!
