    I highly recommend staying away from samsung

    I will never buy another Samsung product. 6 months in my TV went out. I contacted Samsung THREE times trying to get it fixed. The service center "forgot" to place a work order on the first two calls. Finally i get a tech(3rd party) out to fix my TV. He has to order the part which is an inconvenience but it is what it is. At this point i'm 3 weeks in trying to get my $2,000+ tv fixed. The tech service calls me the day it is supposed to be fixed and say "Samsung has not released the part to us and does not know when it will be. So i call Samsung again(This is the 5th time. The 4th was due to them not generating a ticket for the service tech) to which i am told they don't have access to why the part as not been released & do not have a time frame as to which it will be. So going on a month with my brand new TV and getting no where with Samsung i am officially done. The TV(when working) was fantastic. I loved it but i will not be going through all of this again and i strongly suggest no one else does either.

    Google Samsung TV Handshake issues. My tv stopped communicating with my Verizon cable box; meaning my tv stopped recognizing signal from any hdmi source. Tv is useless for watching cable tv. I switched hdmi cables, exchanged my fios box, purchased high end 4K hdmi cables; nothing worked. I have been told I might need a new One Connect Box. Best Buy doesn’t sale them.

    picture great but significant shortfalls

    The picture on this set is excellent in a darker room, significant glare evident in lighter conditions rendering the picture impossible to see. Connecting external audio causes set to lose variable sound control through the remote. A model that should perform exceptionally but has too many flaws to be rated higher.

    Thought the TV was beautiful and really just bought it on a whim. A regretful decision it took a full week from date of purchase for the dreaded one connect box issue to rear its head, apparently a known issue that makes your TV an expensive brick. Contacted Samsung support who sent a replacement one connect box as well as cable which did not resolve the issue. Returned and exchanged for a Sony 65”. Will never buy anything Samsung again.

    cant use phone app for remote

    While am buying a TV, this is one of major feature we are looking for because we always loose remote. after we bought this TV for few days we are able to connect TV from iphone, ipad, and also Samsung S8 phone. later it stopped detecting then on call with Samsung customer care for half hour then able to connect from all devices again (without re-installing apps). so issue is with TV only.Technician remotely connected to TV and reset TV settings. Now again after a week, all my devices are not able to detect TV. this time sent email to Samsung instead of spending time on phone.

    Love my new 8500 curved tv. Have to re-enter password to reconnect to network each time. THere has to be a work around for this, I hope.

    Broke after 20 months using

    Bought this TV on Nov 30, 2015 at Best Buy. Guess what, as of July 2017 (within 20 months), there are black vertical lines right on the middle of the screen. Contacted Samsung and was told that my TV was out of warranty (12 months). I will have to pay probably between $600-$800 to fix it. This is unbelievable.

    The screen continues to develop a black stripe down the middle even after Samsung replaced the screen for the warranty. They replaced the screen and it developed a thin black stripe yet again right down the middle of the screen.

    This very expensive TV only lasted until the 1-year manufacturer warranty ran out. The backlight went bad, and Geek Squad refuses to look at it for different reasons every time we call. Apparently it is probably the panel, and they say Samsung won’t let them replace panels but if they did it would cost thousands so they won’t.
