Problems with Connectivity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of problems with 1) wireless Connectivity and 2) stability of Apps, in particular Netflix. Strong WiFi signal at TV (~55 dBm). Tried multiple channels, 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies. No problems with any other devices in home, including other Smart TV, Roku, iPhones, MacBook and DVD player. Speedtest App of wireless connection on iPhone beside TV measured 40Mbps while on same wireless path TV only measured 2Mbps connection speed. Netflix App mostly, but also Hulu, crash periodically. TV OS and Apps updates to latest firmware available. Requested support through TV and spoke to Tech Support. Tech Support recommended holding power on remote for 5s to actually turn TV OFF (vs standby). When I questioned this, it was implied that TV lacks sufficient RAM and periodic power cycles necessary. If correct, this is unacceptable. Either an effective firmware update or refund appropriate. Picture and sound very good when Connectivity and Apps working well. Please respond.
