Poor out of box

There’s about 20 settings to adjust before getting the quality image you’re looking for. Even after making many adjustments to the settings I’m not completely satisfied. I should have stuck with a 55”.

Has issues, stay away from Samsung!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this TV the first 3 weeks after I purchased it, thin bezel, vibrant colors, easy to navigate, for the price I had paid, I couldn’t complain. Fast forward 3 weeks later, the HDMI ARC stopped working. Support wasn’t able to help, blamed everything under the sun, my HDMI cable and my receiver. Problem #2, it drops my Xbox One connection. It can’t find it. Worked great for 2 weeks, then this had issues also. If you search for these 2 issues, you’ll find many have the same problem. Unplugging and waiting 20 mins seemed to reset this issue, but eventually, it comes back. I wanted to like this TV, annoyed that I’m stuck with it! Samsung needs to fix these issues!

Great TV, Great Picture, Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After EXTENSIVE and THOROUGH research after my 2005 Vizio Plasma finally died, I decided on this Samsung TV. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. I have it setup in my basement where no natural light enters, only canned lighting. I use 45W LED bulbs that are connected to a dimmer switch to control the viewing mode depending on what I'm watching or with whom. The picture out of the box is wonderful and is ready to go. Mine had the typical "soap opera" settings enabled, but knowing enough and some crafty Google searches i was able to disable it (This is my personal preference however, the wife likes that effect, so to each their own). But having it in a non-natural light basement, I took my time customizing the picture settings to my liking. I watch a lot of sports (baseball, football, hockey) and their is little to no blur, even on factory settings. Also the kids watch cartoons and fast moving TV series. I also really like the Samsung HUB that it comes with because it allows easier access to connecting my other devices to it without having to reach behind the TV. This is nice because I have a Sony Blu-Ray / 4K DVD player, PS4 and Nintendo Wii all connected. Their is no difference between picture and the settings menu has an option to keep it that way if you like. I tend to alter a few settings for gaming so that my refresh rate stays as high as possible. The sound is above average, a little "tin-y" but not as bad as others. Having a soundbar make the entire home theater experience better, but the TV's natural sound is good. The usability of the app menu is great and is easy to navigate. Currently I have Dish Network, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Movies Anywhere as my primary streaming services that most often get used and they are all available through their smart menu. I really enjoy this remote control, it's ease of use and functionality. I can't think of any real negatives that I would state would be a deal breaker.

Samsung Never Again

Started running a black line through the left side of the tv screen a year and a month after samsung warranty. Called Samsung and they referred me to a tech since they said the tv was out of warranty. Tech says to just buy another tv, more cost effective since repair exceeds the price of the television. Suggested I contact Samsung to see if they would help with the cost. Samsung basically told me they would not honor any repairs. I paid over a thousand for this TV only to have it last a little over a year. I will never buy another Samsung. Poor customer service.

Tv needs updates

DON'T BUY ANY SAMSUNG TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I BOUGHT THIS TV 9 MONTHS AGO AND ITS BROKEN,CALLED SAMSUNG TO REPAIR IT BECAUSE ITS STILL UNDER MANUFACTURES WARRANTY..THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE BOARD AND IS STIL BROKEN THE PICTURE IS SUPER WASHED OUT AND THERE ARE WHITE BARS ON THE SCREEN ,THE TECH SAID THAT THE PANEL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND SAMSUNG DECLINED THE REPAIR AND SAID THAT THE TV IS FINE..DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DONT BUY ANY SAMSUNG TVS .I KNOW I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT,I 1,700 ON THIS TV AND IT WILL COST ME 800 PLUS LABOR COST TO FIX AND I CANT AFFORD IT SO IM JUST OUT OF A TV.

Tv broke 2 twice.

My tv broke down once before but that was under warranty so no problem there. Now that my warranty expired in December 2019. A little over a year and now the tv won’t turn on anymore and Samsung won’t do anything about it and don’t stand behind their product. Complete garbage to spend the amount of money only for garbage. I don’t recommend Samsung products nothing lasts like they used to back in the day. Guess we need to buy new TVs every couple of years now

Disappointed

It started with a line on the screen and then the screen went completely black and has not worked since. The tv does have a warranty, but the tech never showed up for the appointment and never answered phone calls and promised to call today to reschedule and never heard from them. Going on 2 weeks with no resolution, Best Buy would not help out they state their warranty expired after 7 days. Worst experience I have ever had with a company.

Broken out of the box
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this tv up on a Monday morning and was returning it 24 hours later, pulled it out of the box, set it up, put on a movie and noticed a 6 inch wide bar from top to bottom that had the color all washed out, completely different from the rest of the tv, took it back and scooped up a Sony x850e, couldn’t be happier. Second Samsung product I’ve ever owned and both were garbage.

Piece of crap

I was told that it cost more to fix it then it did to purchase it. And if they know that there something wrong with it why not just let the consumer know before it breaks. What if I didn’t have insurance!

not working after almost 3 years

I can’t have it repaired without paying an arm and leg. I think i have bad luck for sumsung, this is the second sumsung tv i have that didn’t last 3 years.

Great quality

We bought this from bastbuy woodland hills. We paid for brand new TV. But when we opened the box the TV was already used, remote had its batteries installed and TV had a dent on its frame. We called bestbuy and they denied. So it was a very disappointing.

Satellite remote wouldn’t link. Was told by geek squad the RF tuner was probably bad. I have two other Samsung TVs and love them. This one not so much.
