Awful picture quality

The colors on the tv were over saturated and did not look good at all. The tv does not make black and there fire makes the picture look terrible. I ended up buying a LG oled which is leaps and bounds better than this tv.

Horrible Purchase

No matter what I do, the picture is just not bright and clear. It feels like a haze covers it. Hate it, hate it, hate it....buy something else!

Wow, great TV

Some shows almost look 3 dimensional due the extreme 'black' that it is capable of. Who would have thought that 'black' is hard and important....turns out it is, and this TV excels. I can't imagine someone not being impressed with this TV, and I am a super picky tech geek.

BAD IDEA

The sales rep convinced us to get this tv set, and we both admit, it was BEAUTIFUL! Only terrible news is it wouldn't allow HDR on our PS4 and the worst part.... the TV died after us only having it for 14 DAYS!!! Wouldn't power on anymore.

Don't believe the Negative Reviews!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I see the Negative Nancy reviews on a TV of this quality, it makes me pause. From my experience, it's usually user error. Which seems to be the case here. This TV is nothing short of Spectacular. Sure, It's not the OLED Q series, but this is the 9 series from 2016 with a few upgrades. as of 2017 Samsung dropped the SUHD label and the 9 series all together, too confusing for the Customer. This is my 2nd 4k TV, previously owned and LG 65UB9500...which was great until the panel went bad. Good thing I use the DTV protection premier plan which nearly gave me enough cash to cover this one. I went with Samsung over LG for several reasons. 1. I feel Samsung is the better quality. 2. I liked 3D, but can respect that they know the market just didn't cover it, so they dropped it. 3. More compatibility with all my other gear than an LG or Sony. and lastly...the picture quality is amazing! For those of you that say it isn't, you're doing something wrong or you're using the wrong gear. All I know is everything played through my XBOX 1S is 4K looks 10 times more glorious than my old 4K TV. Even lame DTV 720p channels, which are the majority of DTV's programming looks better on this TV. The 4K channels on DTV look simply stunning and Netflix 4K (and even 1080P) just look absolutely stunning. Black levels, clarity, lack of seeing pixels, just amazing. My only complaint is the power cord...it's too short for use on a stand if your gonna run it down the channel they designed to come out the base of the left foot, you only have about 10 inches after that. Nothing an extension cord wont fix, but nonetheless an oversight by Samsung on an otherwise amazing TV

The tv was way too big for my room and the settings will never be replicated as my cable provider does not broadcast in 4K. I believe the sales associates know this.

Mine died in three years

Expensive tv for poor picture

Great TV

The remote is much slimmer and simpler to operate. It paired with the Samsung soundbar and 4K DVD player I bought at the same time. This 8000 Series TV gets it right in all categories. It's a very nice step up from the 7000 Series. I don't think the 9000 and QLED Series are that much better, especially when they cost lots more. This is my 5th Samsung big screen TV and by far the best one yet!
