We upgraded from an older 52" Sharp to this Samsung 65" and it was like going from a Buick to a Ferrari. Outstanding picture quality and features. Simple setup with the one wire hub making mounting above our fireplace much cleaner. The remote is very easy to use and can act as a universal remote to some degree we learned. Built in apps are great and ability to cast from my laptop or phone was an unexpected bonus!

Did a lot of research and settled on this 65 inch Samsung smart TV. I'm not a fan of LG or Sony, but checked them out in any case. For the price, this TV blew away the competition. Crystal clear. 4K is incredible. Apps are awesome. Can surf the web. I don't have cable and use an outside antenna and a Roku. Seamless; looks fantastic. Love the smart remote. I added a Definitive Tech sound bar. Wow!

The picture quality surpasses my expectations. Very easy to install on a wall mount. Very easy TV set up. The 4K upgrade on shows or movies that aren't 4k picture quality look amazing. The TV is so sleek and sheek. This TV will definitely not disappoint. Worth every penny. Husband spent countless hours researching specs. Very happy with purchase.

After researching weeks, maybe a solid month for the best TV for my needs, I settled on the Samsung 8000. My criteria included budget, picture quality, features and thinness. I try not to spend too much on TV’s, usually $1k or so, give or take. Technology moves so fast, it doesn’t seem to make sense to spend a lot.
The TV will be used mainly for OTA programming, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and movies via Netflix.
I found the picture quality of this TV is decent, I used the settings from ratings.com. I do however, notice the Samsung Plasma that I replaced had better color as far as dark scenes. The new TV is very sharp and has vivid colors. By the way, you’ll want to turn off the motion control in the advanced settings, that will get rid of the “soap opera” look.
The design of the TV is very nice, practically no bezel on sides and top, just about 1/2” on the bottom. I preferred this over the Sony TV’s.
The TV also has the “One connect” box. 1 cable attaches this box to your TV. All your HDMI, USB and optical audio connections are on this box. For some reason, the cat 5 connection is on the TV itself, not the one connect box. I like the one connect box - I chose a slim wall mount (2” from wall), it’s difficult to get your hand in back of the TV to plug anything in. With the box, you stand on a chair, pull the cable to get the box and add or remove cables.
Anytime there’s a change in source, say for example a Nintendo Switch is connected to HDMI 2, you insert a game into the switch (with TV off), the TV will turn on and goto HDMI 2 input by itself. Saves you from having to figure out which input to turn it to. A seemingly easy task for most. But that question comes up often in my house. We occasionally use the Xbox One as a DVD Player, remarkably, the Samsung remote can control the Xbox one as well. I was surprised by that. Speaking of remote, it is a very basic remote. Not the old remotes one might be used to with number buttons etc. only a handful of buttons and voice control. Not elderly friendly.
The all share is one of the other reasons I stuck with Samsung, having had several Samsung TV’s before. It’s nice that I can stream videos directly from my NAS to the TV.
Overall, most would be happy with this TV. Yes it doesn’t have full array, local dimming, but for that, it’s approximately 50% more expensive. I would’ve preferred a 75”, but that’s about 2x the price of a 65”. And a 75” full array - even more. So I settled a bit, but happy overall.

I received this for Christmas and so far this by far is the best television I have owned. The colors and contrast are great. It automatically knows what you have hooked up to it. It is simple to set up and use. The remote takes some time to figure out but it is simple and has voice control. I love this television.

Great TV. I find the picture to be pretty darn amazing for the price and the features are plentiful. Something I noticed right away was the speed of the TV. Hit the power button and its on instantly and then you can fire up an app without delay. It also connects wirelessly to my Samsung soundbar.
The One Connect box is pretty cool, but also the reason I would give this TV a 4.5/5. This box with its ~10' cable really limits how I can set the TV up. I am limited in where I can put my TV's, so I have to hang this above the fireplace and run cables through the wall to the side of the fireplace. Problem is, I need a 15' cable to do this. To buy a 15' replacement for this cable is an addition $200. For that amount I would probably upgrade to the Sony XBR850. I was able to work around this by sticking the OC box to the back of the TV, but that eliminates the purpose of the box (having no wires behind the TV).
Overall, that one flaw is not going to hold me back from keeping the TV. I would recommend this to anyone - especially those who do not plan to hang it.

This is my first 4K television and I am glad I went with this one. Installation was easy and didn’t take much time at all. I like that the cords are run through the leg so no cables are visible and looks clean. Setting up the wireless was a breeze and I haven’t had any issues with connectivity. The only issue I have experienced with connectivity is that I have DSL so streaming 4K content can be difficult at times but we will have fiber in the next couple months which will resolve that issue. The picture quality is excellent whether it is my Direct TV, 4K movies played on Xbox and my games look so much better on this television. Another benefit is that I can control my two gaming systems, the television and my Direct TV box with the television remote. Looks great, easy to set up and awesome Samsung quality. Highly recommend this television.

Great picture, very smart, remote is next level too! Easy setup. Audio is good with and without sound bar. If you're researching good, better, best all in one...this is in the "better" range bordering best. Well worth the value.

I am one to always research any major purchase and sometimes spend too much time going back and forth but in this case, it was very clear (just like the picture) that for the price and features, this was the TV for me and my family. Easy to setup, smart remote is very effective and able to be used across multiple devices and compared to other TV's, dialing in to the best picture setting is a breeze. Highly recommend! One of the highest 4k resolutions out there!

No complaints- nice picture, easy to use remote, love the size. We have it on our mantle and it looks sleek with the slim casing around it. We considered mounting it but it looks good on the stand.

Amazing color, depth, clarity. I upgraded from a 45” 6 year old to 65” new one and the difference is clear- bigger, but clearer. SMART options are awesome and the UHD makes all the difference.

Bought this as an upgrade from a 6 year old 55" LG. Its very nice, enjoy the 65" vs the old 55".
The single cord arrangement for TV connections is very nice, but I have one complaint. The cable management has the cords exiting through the left leg of the TV (when facing the TV) and isn't reversible to the right leg. Where my TV sits, I need the cables on the right. Apparently Samsung thinks all cables must exit on the left. Brilliant idea though, the one cable idea. To connect another HDMI device is now so easy, the connection box sits right on top of my cable box, easily accessible. No reaching around behind the TV with a flashlight and several cuss words trying to connect something to the TV.
I like the legs on the TV being at the outside edges, they lift the TV about 3.25", just enough that my Polk Audio sound bar thing slides underneath. Very clean looking on my fireplace mantel.
Picture is very nice. Voice commands work flawlessly and somehow the TV controls my cable box with voice commands, and all I had to do was select my cable provider at setup. ARC connection to my soundbar worked flawlessly. The setup was very easy and everything works. I use Samsung's app on my iPhone also to control the TV, and it works great, as long as the TV remote is in the room and pointed in the direction of the TV. Voice command even works on the iPhone app. You can ask the TV to 'play Olympics' and it will find the various channels for you to choose. Say 'tune to NBC' and it tunes to NBC. Works great. I even like how fast it turns on, compared to my older LG. Almost instant when you hit the power button on the remote. Based on my experience so far, I highly recommend the TV.

After reading many reviews and viewing many 65 " 4k TV's at the store, I made my purchase (UN65MU8000) without fully understanding some of the great features this TV has over others. Samsung has designed a TV that requires only two cords to be connected to it, with every other item plugged into a separate hub, a smart box. The TV has a small hollowed out track running along the bottom of the left side of the TV to a beautifully designed stand, which hides the two cords, providing a very clean look. While the design is great, the picture quality is superb.
We are extremely pleased with this purchase.

Set up was not too bad. Integrated well with my Network and Spectrum. Very good picture as expected. I like the simple remote. The family is now arguing about who gets to pick shows on this TV!
I did have a friend who is really into AV help me with set up which probably kept me at the 5 star rating, but I think it went smooth enough that I could have figured it out on my own. The only snag we hit was integrating a sound bar from a different brand but we figured it out.
Overall, one of the better electronics purchases I have made relative to advertising and my own expectations.

I’ve been using this tv since after the Thanksgiving. Easy to install, just takes a little while to set it up. I got a Samsung 4K blue ray to keep up the good quality when watching movies. I just need now a sound bar because the speaker can’t delivery much. Great to watch sports, can’t wait for the 2018 World Cup. The hub connects everything. I’ll be hang it on the wall next month. Color is crisp and the white and black are just right on point. I haven’t notice any light leaks so far. The apps load and work just fine. Netflix 4K is awesome. No need to go to the more expensive ones.

This tv was an awesome purchase. The color and features in this price range is amazing. I could not believe it when i saw it in the store, i thought i was looking at an Oled for a minute. The blacks are incredible and when viewing actual 4k programming, it is like you are there. I have apple tv 4k an many movies are coming out in 4k HDR and the combination of the 2 products creates an nincredible viewing experience. Plus as soon as i turned it on and pointed the remote at the tv, it automatically set itself up to control all of my sources, satellite, apple tv and sound bar the remote found all of these items and automatically controlled them within about 15 seconds. you dont need to but fancy remotes to program so all will work on 1, you get it with the tv. It also has voice recondition so all i have to do is push the button and say watch apple tv and the input changes. for $1200 bucks this thing is an incredible value. One lat thing, the new way that samsung has their HDMI inputs in a floating box that can be kept in a cabinet below the tv or behind furniture below if the tv is wall hung is awesome. all of the HDMI and the audio cable if you are using one go into this box and one wire goes to the tv and brings all the info. Then if you need to add something or change something or a cable goes bad, you do not have to go behind the tv anymore.
