    Unable to complete the setup because 3 screws to attach the stand to the TV are missing and trying to get 3 simple screws from Samsung is very painful ( I have to prove I purchased this TV new before they will send me 3 tiny screws). So, It will be several weeks before I get my screws and be able to use the TV, thus I have a very expensive brick in my living room

    I have the 8000 series in a 55 inch and feel it has a better picture than the 65" 9000 series.

    After reading positive reviews and having Samsung TVs in the past, we were excited to buy this television on Cyber Monday. Within 2 weeks the HDMI signals started displaying "no source" on the TV and/or the screen would periodically go black. Thinking we had a faulty One Connect box, we had Best Buy deliver us another one. The very next day the same thing started happening again. I did a Google search for "one connect box issues" and, sure enough, there were countless people experiencing the same issue and Samsung had no resolution other than "call a technician" (in the Samsung forums, no less). This is clearly not a one off problem. You can find many videos on YouTube dating back to 2016 from owners filming their Samsung TVs (with the One Connect) flickering to a black screen. The only resolution people have found is to unplug the television and plug it back in....everytime. How Samsung has gotten away with selling such a poor quality product has me and many others stumped. I was lucky enough to be able to exchange the TV at Best Buy for a Sony 900e. Best Buy was fantastic in their understanding and we were so lucky these issues presented themselves within the return period. I felt obligated to write this review to help anyone who is considering buying this television. My advice is: Don't. Do the research of this issue and see for yourself. Side note: the Sony 900e has been great and has had zero issues.

    I started my search for a new 65" flat screen after a month of making my case to my wife. I had a budget of $1,500, and with that range there are many options. I did hours and hours of research, reading professional reviews and user reviews. I settled at first with Sony X930E and man what a great TV that was. My issue was that with my Sonos 5.1 set up for Audio, there was a bad lip sync issue. I tried everything.. Hours on the phone with Geek Squad, Sonos, and finally Time Warner. I swapped out cables, boxes.. nothing worked. So I boxed the Sony up and returned it. My next choice was this, Samsung MU9000. Very sleek looking TV. I love that the connections are separate from the TV, which was great for hanging on the wall. The picture quality for me is ok. I can tell you that cable TV didn't look great on either set. Basketball didn't look right. Hockey looks amazing. Football looked great on CBS and NBC but not fox. This is for both TV's on a 1080 signal from Time Warner. So the real test is to stream 4k and HDR content. BIG DIFFERANCE! The Samsung TV performs well with decent brightness. There is some clouding on dark areas with bright highlights... its EDGE LIT. The TV handles motion well. The colors were good. it does a good job in my bright living room with lots of sun coming in. The UI is one of the best features, very fast and responsive. If I could go back I might have spent the extra for an OLED, but this TV is ok, even though I think its slightly overpriced. pros Sleek- very thin.. under 60lbs one connect box - AWESOME UI- crazy fast remote - like 7 buttons do everything anti reflective screen - no glare in my sunny room 4k and HDR - does well with streaming sonos - works well with my home audio Cons edge lit - clouding on dark with bright highlights expensive - other options in price range have more features viewing angle- need to be directly in front for good picture

    The tv does not support apps like hbo go and xfinity. It was a bit frustrating to set up because it kept crashing my network and also the little bar that pops up at the top asking questions is hard to get to. Honeslty for a smart tv so far it does not seem that smart.

    Requires constant restart

    The video quality is great but there are a lot of technical issues. The auto update does not work correctly. It'll check for updates but says it has the latest software. You have to manually download the new firmware from your laptop onto a usb. Then plug the usb into the tv and update it that way. Every few months, the bottom half of the tv has a vertical rainbow effect. Samsung technical support could not fix it. The only way to fix it is to factory reset your tv. You'll have to rescan your channels and input devices again, but the rainbow effect will be gone.
