Great 4K HDTV for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First...the "Over the Air Channels" picture quality is horrible OUT OF THE BOX. My wife, adult daughter and myself were disappointed. They asked me if I was going to return it. Second...the 4K Samsung Player showed great video quality, as long as it was a bright scene, DARK scenes were way to dark. Third...4K from Netflix and Prime were WAY better than their normal shows/movies, but the 4K was still to black in the darker scenes...but, I had hope. Finally...On Sunday night everyone left after the Thanksgiving weekend and I was able to set in front of the 4K HDTV so I could play with the settings. -DO NOT use just the Preset in TV Video settings..."Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie" they are terrible by themselves. ***Go to "Picture Settings" then "Expert Settings"...then take the time to set it up correctly. -The picture turn dark so I went to "Eco Solution" and turned OFF "Power Saving Mode" (Stay bright all the time, does not go dim by itself) AFTER adjust all the settings...My wife was wowed by the Over The Air picture and the 4K Player/Netflix/Prime video is fantasic. NOW, the SOUND is not as good my 7 year old Samsung 3D 1080p HDTV, the bass GREAT on the older TV was incredible...but, my wife has loud bass, so this may be a blessing. -"Sound Mode" = Optimized...is not bad, but not as good as my OLD Samsung 3D HDTV. -I just turn on my sound system if I want better sound. For the price, I am very glad I bought the 4K HDTV...after adjusting.
