Customers are saying

Customers commend the 65" Class LED NU6070 Series 4K UHD TV for its exceptional picture quality and affordable price. Many users are pleased with the easy setup process and the TV's large screen size. However, some customers have concerns about the limited number of HDMI ports, occasional screen issues, durability issues, short lifespan, and the appearance of vertical lines on the screen.

    Such a disaster

I bought this TV on Black Friday to replace a 55” Sony TV. Initially the TV seemed to work okay, but I wasn’t impressed with the picture quality. It seemed a bit dark. After a couple days, I started having problems watching Netflix or Hulu through my Firestick. The Firestick never gave me any problems on my old TV. On the Samsung, however, the sound would just suddenly cut out while watching a show on Hulu or Netflix. Sometimes it would even pause the show or kick it back to the Firestick main menu. And after the sound cut out, the TV would no longer respond to the Samsung remote, only the Firestick remote. I couldn’t even turn the TV off! Initially I thought I might be having a problem with my network connection, but then I tried playing a DVD from my Sony Blu-Ray player, and both the sound and picture kept cutting out. I’d never had any issues with this Blu-Ray player before. Thinking there was something wrong with the two HDMI ports on the TV, I contacted Best Buy for them to replace the TV. The Geek Squad thought the problem with my Blu-Ray player was that the HDMI cable didn’t support 4K. I was sure it did, but they tried replacing it, and it did seem to stop the picture from fading to black, at least while they were there. Hulu also played okay when I first tried it. Then the Geek Squad left and not five minutes later, the sound started cutting out on Hulu again. I tried another DVD, and it started fading to black again, even with the new cable! I don’t know if Samsung just isn’t compatible with any components that aren’t also Samsung or what, but I think this TV is going back and going to be replaced with a new Sony.

Good but only lasted five years.

The tv looks great when it worked. After five years the right side of the screen has turned dark. I still have CRT tvs that work as good as they did in the early 2000s. I would check other tvs before spending money on Samsung if it dies so quickly.

I just upgraded from a 42" 1080P LCD to a 65" 4k TV. Watching movies is so much fun and I enjoy it more than the movies.

Not bad, not great. Picture quality is stunning, smooth motion features are jagged, features are sub-par. NOT Google Cast compatible. Can't cast Google play, chrome, movies, etc. Super disappointing. Can't cast Hulu, must use Samsung app, which is clunky and buggy.

    Terrible Picture

    Posted .

I spent an entire night adjusting my cable box and settings because the picture was so horrible. I thought there was no way that it could be the TV, as I have other Samsung TVs with great pictures. After reading other reviews and speaking with a Best Buy associate, I am afraid I was wrong. This model is a step below the normal 7 Series, and only brought out for Black Friday so it can be sold for dirt cheap. I returned it and purchased an 8 Series and the difference is night and day. I may have ended up paying twice as much, but it had to be done.

This tv is terrible! The volume is low. The color is mainly Browns/yellow tints. The settings are so basic so you cannot tweak it. This tv is definitely going right back! I’d rather have a 58” with a good picture than a 65” missing key components.

This tv is bad. The picture is horrible and the menu set up is really bad. Keeps switching to other HDMI inputs even though I did not select them. HD channels are really bad. This is not a quality tv at all. They only way this would be a good tv is if you are coming off a black and white tv. Even then one would still see blurry pictures and pixels. Spend the extra money for something better. I see why this rv did not sell out on Black Friday.

    Failed Within 1 Month

Within the first month of owning this new TV, we have had several problems. First, the internet connections would fail making the Smart TV features useless. Samsung sent us a software update via email that we had to put on a flash drive and install on the TV to fix this problem. No one should have to go through this when buying a brand new TV in 2019. Next, the screen would start to flicker and flash often. This makes watching television quite difficult and unenjoyable. The picture is technically pretty decent but because of the issues listed above, I would not recommend this TV. Luckily, even after our store warranty expired, Samsung is willing to replace or cover the cost. We will be getting an LG instead :D

    Programming shoved down your throat

I’ve owned several Samsung TVs and have always been happy. This, however will be my last. The picture quality is fine for a lower end SHD tv. And there the good part ends. First, the remote is so ergonomically poor as to be near unusable. Then Samsung has packageed TV plus and Cheddar tv so you can’t simply get to the regular tv lineup. It appears there is no button to bypass these annoying forced apps. You can get into apps such Netflix and Prime fairly easily once you figure it out, but you have to be quick with your fingers, or you are forced into Cheddar or Plus Tv. Once into an app it is a difficult procedure to exit the app and go into another. My frustration level has peaked. See you Samsung. No more purchasing from me.
