Picture is really good when looking straight on, loses color and fades as you view from an angle. Noticed mild vertical banding in the center of the screen when watching sports. Overall, a decent TV, but there are many in this price range, so shop around.

Not worth the $$, what happened Samsung?

Bought this one when it dropped by $100 to $1,300. After I set it up, the picture was blurry, spotty, cloudy and blacks not good on so many channels and movies on Netflix. I spent almost 2 weeks testing out new calibration settings, including ones on RTINGS.COM and other sites. Nothing worked, picture sucked. My old Samsung now 5-years old had a better picture. I was so disappointed. The next level Samsung TV was $2,000. I decided to try out the new Vizio 2018 P Series because of so many great reviews and ratings, plus it was only $1,100.00. Honestly what a great and beautiful TV. Way better than the Samsung NU8000. I don't know what Vizio did to have better ratings than comparable Samsung and Sony, but WOW! Thanks Vizio and glad I gave you a shot.

However, now when it starts up I get a message that there is no signal from HDMI3 and I have to navigate to source to change to HDMI 1. I contacted Samsung support who told me to reset the TV to factory settings. But, that didn't work either.

Remote is barely functional

As my son remarked, it is much better than our 6 year old television. However, the remote is much, much worse than our old television. Voice recognition doesn't respond at all which is very frustrating. This is very disappointing. I did read other reviews with similar comments but I didn't take them to heart. Trust me, find a tv with a better remote.

Amazing but Wobbly

The stand doesn’t seem to support it very well so even the lightest touch make the entire thing wobble. Other than that it’s amazing. I have it on my coffee table right now but I just bought a tv stand so hopefully when it’s delivered maybe it will be a little more sturdy.

This TV fits the bill. The TV I wanted was the Q8 but it was $1000 more. As long as you don't have the NU8000 sitting next to a Q8 you will not notice much of a picture differance.
