Poor Picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well I've had this for 6 months and was hoping some modifications would help the picture but its almost unwatchable on most channels. The picture at times pixelates and in most cases glitches when there is any kind of movement. Good luck watching sports. I live in Minnesota and no longer can watch a Wild Hockey games because the motion of the players glitches every 2 seconds. Just awful and disappointing considering I had an older LCD Samsung that worked just fine and actually has a better picture when it comes to sports. Did the same for football games. Just noticed it doing the same thing on BluRay movies and also when my kids were playing PS3 games. Unfortunately I waited too long as I don't watch much tv and busy with kid sports that I cant return this expensive piece of junk. I read all the reviews and waited and waited to buy this thinking it would be great like my last Samsung and unfortunately its been awful. Oh and bought the geek squad plan too only for them to charge me to come repair and possibly fix it. what good was paying $230 if I have to pay them to come out and potentially fix my BRAND NEW TV.

Superb 4K Smart TV

Wish I could give no star

I called Best Buy, they didn’t take responsibility, contact Samsung very rude customer service, they order main bord after two weeks after they changed it they said it has panel problem too they change panel main bord and power bord, still not working . It’s been more than a month they’re trying to fix it and they can not. Every time I call Samsung CS get a different respond first they said after 2 attempt for repair they will exchange then they said 3 times then they said tech needs to mark it unrepairable . And nobody even bother to get back to us. First time purchase from Best Buy and definitely would be the last time. Horrrible Customer service

Good TV...but Judder issue is distracting

I would give it a 5 except that the TV definitely has "judder" as people call it. It is sporadic, but very annoying and distracting on a 65'' set. I tried to adjust the judder settings, but it did not help. Other people appear to have the same issue. Something to think about when shopping for TVs. I called customer service once and will call again. I am not optimistic about the chances of resolving the issue. Disappointing from a Samsung product.

I am sorry about the disappointing motion performance of your NU8000 TV..
Have you tried adjusting the Auto Motion Plus?
Here are the steps if you have not done so:
1) With the TV powered on, press the Home button on the Samsung remote to open the Home screen
2) Then select Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus
Note: This option may not be visible initially. Continue scrolling through the Expert Settings Menu to locate Auto Motion Plus
3) Then Select Auto Motion Plus again, and you will see the following three options:
a) Off: Auto Motion Plus will always be off
b) Auto: Auto Motion Plus will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
c) Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used
4) By selecting the Custom option, you can further access these advanced settings:
a) Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting.
b) LED Clear Motion: Select to turn On/Off

Barely Ok

The wi fi for this is terrible, simply horrible. If you want to stream internet apps and material, forget it unless you can use ethernet cable on your set, don’t even try. Samsung says it’s not the product, even though I proved it is on the phone with customer support. Overall it’s barely OK.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing Internet connection drops when streaming on-demand content.
Internet connections are mainly based on WiFi signal strength and quality. The router location and distance from the TV is an important consideration -- having them both on the same floor with minimal interference blocking the signal (like a wall, etc.) will improve streaming. You may also want to try wired LAN, if possible, since the connection will be faster and more reliable.

Screen broken

When I pulled tv out and plugged in I noticed screen was cracked. Returned to store the next day for an exchange but manager would not accept the tv and blamed it on me. I have wasted over $1k on this piece of junk and will never buy a Samsung tv or from Best Buy the rest of my life after this. I have contacted both Samsung and Best Buy but get the usual run around of no help. I didn’t even get to enjoy a 65” 4K tv for one night. Do not ever buy a tv with out having them pull it out and inspect it before taking it home or pay for them to deliver and install so you can prove you never touched it.

Stay far, far away from this one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Samsung 65" NU8000 must be the least reliable product on the market. I picked up one after my 9-year-old Panasonic Plasma HDTV was struck by lightning (Panasonic no longer makes TVs, so I needed a new brand). The first Samsung (of 2!) had a super-noticeable "bright spot" in the center of the screen the size of 3 quarters that looked like a constant sun glare. It was significantly brighter than the rest of the screen and was a manufacturing abnormality. Best Buy noticed it immediately when I returned it and exchanged the unit for a 2nd Samsung. The 2nd Samsung had its own problems. There were bands of non-uniform back-lighting, but I was willing to live with that. What I couldn't live with was the TV's continual loss of signal through the HDMI ports. You'd be watching a movie, and suddenly the TV's "smart hub channel" would switch on by itself. Once I disabled the smart hub channel so that it didn't default to that when the signal dropped, I saw what was really happening... the smart hub was starting by itself when the HDMI signal dropped. With the hub disabled, the screen would flash to black for 2-3 seconds on a regular basis. Sometimes it was just the screen going black, sometimes the sound went out too. It was happening like 3-5 times during a typical movie. I tried everything... changed settings on all of my devices, updated the TV software, replaced all of my HDMI cables with premium certified ones, even hooked my Samsung 4k Blu-ray player straight to the TV, bypassing the stereo receiver. Nothing fixed the problem.... still the HDMI picture would drop 3-5 times over the course of 2 hours. Thankfully, Best Buy allowed me to exchange the TV for a Sony XBR65X850F. I plugged the Sony in using all of the same cables and devices, and the Sony worked flawlessly. I'll never touch anything by Samsung ever again. Stay far, far away from this Samsung, guys.

Good Picture, Horrible Remote and Features

The remote loses pairing every other day and no fix for this issue. The TV is very slow to respond to anything on the remote and to switch sources. Samsung will replace the remote but shouldn't have to do this with a TV that I have had for 45 days. I called Best Buy to return this but said I have no option for returning this and that I have to contact Samsung to have them fix the Issue. I will no longer purchase a Samsung TV and purchase a TV from Best Buy. I wish I would have spent the extra 500.00 and bought a Sony TV. I even asked Best Buy to take the TV in on return so I could purchase the Sony and spend the extra 500, and it was a no go.

Audio Problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would love to give this TV a 5 star review, but the issue I’ve experienced along with other people has still not been resolved by Samsung. The TV has an inherent audio delay of around 100ms. It’s so frustrating to have lips out of sync and not be able to adjust anything to compensate. This is an unusual problem to have as they build in an audio delay compensation into TV’s as it’s usually the picture that’s behind the audio. Not the other way around. I assume there is a built in delay in the firmware that is causing this issue as my main board was replaced and that did not solve the issue. I’m almost to the end of my warranty period and Samsung still can’t get me to someone that can figure this out. Samung service tells me I have to talk to a local service center and the local service center tells me that Samsung has no fix for the issue. It’s been a frustrating loop that no one seems to know how to resolve, and there is no way to escalate the issue beyond Level 1 support. This wasn’t a cheap TV and I’ve spent a lot of money with Samsung and at Best Buy. If this does get resolved I’m happy to amend my review. Aside from a few glitchy things with the motion/automotion the TV is beautiful and I love the user interface!

Great TV when it works

After purchasing the TV for 1 month, there was a pop from the TV there is a cracked on the bottom. Even though we didn't do anything to the TV because the damage is physical Samsung refuse to do anything ( they will deny any fault). 1.5k to learn a lesson so buyer beware.

Please contact us again so that we can assess the TV’s condition and cause of damage. Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of damage, a TV is a very fragile device and can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation -- laid on its side or tilted -- during transit, internal damage could have been done.

TV Completely Quit after 13 months

The TV 'brains' are in a separate "One Connect" box that lives outside the TV and mounts on the back. Mine mysteriously quit working after 13 months (great, the extremely limited warranty lasts for 12 months) After hours on the phone with Samsung, they will not cover it - a $400 replacement "One Connect" part needs to ship from Korea and will take 8-10 weeks to arrive. Support is only available M-F during work hours. I will go with Sony or LG for a replacement.

Lack of Apps

My $150 TCL has a built in Roku with Fox sports App and ESPN+. This TV has none of these features and lacks other basic apps. I knew I would regret this during football season. LG and TCL TV's have these features.

Stopped working within 5 days

Contacted Best But and Geek Squad and they cant replace it till 09-28-18. I'll hold off a bit longer to rate this TV. As of this moment its a -10. UNBELIEVABLE
