Exceeded expectaitions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started off buying the q60 version and it was a really nice TV as well but it had a few little things that I felt if I was going to spend $1000 I should be getting better with. The edge lit just wasn't for me so I went back in to the store and looked at multiple different sets, researched pros and cons, read others reviews and finally I thought I had made up my mind and then went to the store to trade my q60 in for the Sony x950g and looked at them both again and finally decided I liked the Samsung setup over the Sony with Android TV. Both are great tvs just comes down to preference really. So compared to the q60 this model has a much better display with darks, the lights aren't quite as bright to me but I will play with the settings some more and I'm sure I'll figure it out. The speakers are much louder and have more bass as well. Still may want to get a sound bar and a separate woofer but all in all I was impressed. The apps work very well with the exception of Spectrum TV, it is very grainy and buffers when trying to watch on demand. Netflix, prime video, Disney+, Hulu and YouTube all work great. Video games look great on it as well. I have only had it a day so far but it's already built upon my impressions with the q60.

This tv replaced my sony x850d which I loved untill we plugged in the Q70. Wow. I was debating between x950g and q70 but best buy made it an easy decision with this amazing price. Thanks best buy!

We got a lemon
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture fades in and out and does crazy things. We tried to get it fixed Best Buy came out and said there was nothing wrong with it. We continuously have to turn it off and on to make the picture work. Not a great TV.

Video Great! Audio not great.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st, the video is great! The interface could use some help (not as intuitive as it should be). Now for the less than perfect, WHY did the "geniuses" at Samsung eliminate the analog audio output? Some of us prefer the sound of analog. I also CAN NOT get the TV to recognize a VALID video signal from a PC input. Signal is through a DVI to HDMI cable. Video signal is perfect on a regular PC monitor (clear image at 1920x1080). Contacted Samsung support (getting help from someone reading off a troubleshooting card will try your patience). Tried searching for a solution on Google - no help there either.

Recently Purchased.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this tv. Overall it is a pretty good tv, but it does have a bug which irritates the daylight out of me. The Bixby voice function just randomly goes off without me touching the remote or microphone button. It usually mutes the volume and says "I didn't understand that". Samsung needs to address this issue.

Cheaply made television
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.broke after three years. All of a sudden it Wouldn't turn on. Samsung said the screen needed to be replaced for $1k parts + labor. Even though there was no damage to the screen. Very poorly made for the expense

Not worth the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this tv for about 4 years now and it already has a strip of dead pixels right in the center of the screen, among others that came throughtout the years. Sometimes, the tv would refuse to turn on for hours, and come back on randomly factory reset. The internter in my unit cut in and out quite often. But hey, if you don't mind dead pixels, it's not a bad looking display. Save your money

Dead after 20 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my Samsung 65 inch 20 months ago and this week a line of dead pixels showed up from one side of the screen to the other. Never again, Samsung. I also have a 65 inch LG that I bought three years ago and it's still going strong!

About 3 years at best.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung TVs have a capacitor problem, they are using cheap ones. They last about 3 years, then you have to replace it, inconvenient and costly. Do not buy!

Panel lasted 1.5 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Q80R version of this TV on 4/30/2019 and yesterday 10/27/2020 a year and a half later the panel went out. Took it to a local repair center since the warranty is out and was told by 2 different technicians that the panel would need to be replaced but deemed it unrepairable claiming the panel isnt available. This TV was purchased at $2500 that was the worst money ever spent on a Samsung product. Be cautious when spending money on products that fail after a year.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV after 3 years does not allow changing of channels, bounces to whatever channel, tv also turns on by itself with no input.
