Specs liked very good; in-home experience, rather
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected a great experience-not so! The remote was too simplistic, the Apps for Netflix and Amazon Prime were deficient. Returned it and purchased an LG which works well!

Dead pixels on multiple TV's
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is currently on sale and I've experienced why. Brought tv home, had 5 dead pixels. Brought TV back to Best Buy to exchange and also bought the Geek Squad protection plan just in case. Turned on second tv and this one had one dead pixel already. Fortunately this time since I bought the protection plan, they will come out to me to get the TV. 0/10 would not recommend buying this TV.

Had the TV for 50 days and already has dark spot!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really excited about getting my first QLED TV upgrading from a Panasonic Plasma TV that I purchased 15 years ago that is still working perfectly btw. We have had the TV 50 day and it has a 4" X 7" dark spot. We have contacted Samsung, as we are unable to return it to the store at this point, and they are sending a repair person to look at the TV. We will see what the outcome is but I don't want a repaired TV, I want a working new TV that I purchased!

Lifeless and Bland Color
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super disappointed with this TV. I read so many great reviews on this TV before buying it, and I don't know why people give this TV such high marks. The color is simply bland, boring and lifeless. I've consulted many reviews for color settings for this TV, and none produce the vibrant colors like my other Samsung TV. Yes, I'm using Movie setting and tried a plethora of settings. Totally unsatisfied with this TV and am considering returning it. I'm not paying $200+ more to have it calibrated. If your TV is vibrant, what are your settings?

Great picture quality.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The software is very slow and laggy. It froze many times and had to unplug it to get everything working. Dont like the big menu bar pop up every time you press the channel button.

||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm surprise the picture is not that clear. Also, Siri system is very sensitive. The system talks when you don't ask a question. You do have the option to turn it off.

Posted .consumer,
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q70R. For brightness concerns, please make sure you have the latest firmware (version 1335.0, Nov. 26, 2019):
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/2019-qled-tv-q70r-series#manuals
For how-to instructions on downloading the update, please visit: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062224/
Besides the Brightness adjustment you seemed to have already tried under Home > Settings > Picture > Expert Settings, this model features Eco Sensor to adjust TV brightness automatically by measuring the light in your room and optimizing brightness to reduce power consumption.
If you want to turn this off, go to > Settings > General > Eco Solution > Ambient Light Detection
• If the screen is too dark while you are watching TV in a dark environment, it may be due to the Ambient Light
• Detection function.
• The eco sensor is located at the bottom of the TV. Do not block the sensor with any object as doing so can decrease picture brightness
If the above tips do not resolve your concer, or you need further assistance with other setting adjustments, please contact Samsung Customer Support via any of the following options:
1) Phone: 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs) Available 8AM - 12AM EST (Mon-Fri) / 9AM - 11PM EST (Sat-Sun)

Back light lamp broke in less than 3 months
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed by this TV. Back light lamp broke in less than 3 months. Had to wait for a week to get someone from Samsung coming over to check the TV. They showed up with the wrong part and now have to wait another week. Not happy with the quality of product and how the repair process is handled by BestBuy and Samsung. Having purchased this from Costco, I could simply return it rather than not having a TV for the entire holidays.

Disappointing Image Quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted to upgrade our family room viewing from our 10 year old 52" Samsung that had a great picture to a new 65" model for better group-viewing. I also thought that the new 4k-UHD technology would result in an even better picture than a 10-year-old device. Because of the corona-craziness in effect currently I could not go into the showroom and look at various screen side-by-side so I went by reviews which all were great, and did curbside pickup. Sadly however when I got it home and set it up, I was shocked by the poor image quality! Everything about it from resolution to colors was a giant step backward from my old tv. I experimented with settings in every way I could find, but to no avail. I wish I had never wasted my money on this piece of junk, or at least gone to one of the stores that you can still go inside and compare.

Worst Purchase Ever!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this on 11/30/2019 as a gift to my parents. The tv was fantastic until it randomly turned off on 12/31/2019. Yep, it lasted exactly one month in service. It cannot be returned to store and Geek squad support is not available until a week from now. My parents will have an expensive, lemon brand new tv that might just work once they figure out what the trouble is. Perhaps the unknown manufacturer tv with similar specs for half the price might have been a better purchase. I’m very upset and disappointed with both Samsung and geek squad. The previous tv was in operation for over a decade without any issues and it was only replaced because they really wanted a smart tv.

Bad Wifi Card Renders Smart Features Worthless
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Look around online, Samsung TVs have a notorious wifi problem where the card disconnects randomly. It runs fine for an hour at a time then overheats. Samsung has done NOTHING about the issue and has not responded to me. Never again. The TV is otherwise great, but if the whole thing doesn't work because of one feature then it is worthless.
