This has oversaturated colors no matter how hard I tried adjusting them. I could live with that but then the TV refused to accept firmware updates that would have allowed audio passthrough for Dolby Atmos content. That was the last straw and I returned it. Excellent value for money though. I suspect heavy marketing from Samsung helps set high biases - I am glad I didn't buy into that marketing.

The picture is very dark. The TV locks up when I try to use streaming services with it. When I turn the TV on and then turn my Xbox on, the TV turns the xbox off and then locks up. MY $100 TCL runs better but doesn’t have the picture quality to put in the living room. I would like to get away from samsung, what other brands have a good picture and actually work?

      PhotoAlfoso:

Thank you for your review of the Samsung Q70T TV. Your TV supports HDR allowing you to enjoy a wide spectrum of colors and visual details, even in dark scenes. Your TV will detect and display HDR automatically. To check, press Home > Settings. Look at the Picture Mode icon in the Quick Settings Menu and it will change to show the “HDR” on it. If you’re watching a streaming app, give it some time for the Internet to stabilize for UHD & HDR signals.

Please contact Samsung Customer Support for assistance with your HDMI port.

Remote does not work properly. It works great if I am within 3 feet of the TV. Any further away from TV remote will rarely work after several tries. I regret purchasing this TV. I did not buy protection on it since I never do for any of my purchases. I figured its brand new and I shouldn't see any problems right away. Its been 8 months since I purchased it and TV does not work any more. Tried turning it on one day and all I see is a black screen. I tried unplugging cables etc... But its just a black screen it wont turn on. I fried asking for help at BEST buy- yeah right BAD buy I guess. There return policy is only 15 days. I see why now! Luckily its still within a year warranty with Samsung. They are suppose to looking at it this week, lets see how that goes.

      NotHappy:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q70T TV and for your review. I am very sorry that you are experiencing internet buffering issues.

You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection:

      1) First, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. (1460.9 released on 12/7/20)

Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically.

You may also want to enable automatic updates for future convenience.
Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

      2) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).

      3) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)

      4) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem.

Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test

      5) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again.

      Lorenzo,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung xxx.
I am very sorry for the inconvenience you had with installation because wall mount screws were not included. Please understand that we do not include wall mount screws because not every wall will require the same type of screw. Each customer’s mounting situation can be very different, requiring specific screws to ensure the best, most secure fit. A generic screw type included in the box might be inappropriate for a customer’s wall; the result could be the customer inadvertently mounting his TV insecurely. In addition, Samsung does not stock or sell wall mount screws.

You can refer to Pages 7-8 of the User Manual for wall-mount instructions and screw types:

I am sorry that your Q70T TV is exhibiting some delay when loading and opening applications. To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care.

It improves your apps performance as it frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.

If your apps are freezing, not loading, or crashing, you can try cold booting your TV by holding down the power button on your remote for 5+ sec until the TV turns off and on again, deleting and downloading the apps again, and completing full reset of Smart Hub to correct the issue.

Please also check that your TV is running the latest firmware version.

I hope this helps to solve your concerns. Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

I am extremely frustrated with tv. I bought it from Best Buy because I wanted someone to set it up and show me how to navigate through it. The first initial set up was useless . I called several times to Geek Squad with no success. Finally waited a week for a technician to come here. Got a new cable box. Still no success. Spectrum was on the phone with me for 3 hrs. They were the most helpful. Bought a sound box & woofer. Installed with no problem. Still having problem with tv. Does not look right. Does not sound right. Cannot use DVD player. Trouble switching from cable to streaming channels. Have been a good customer of Best Buy but am extremely disappointed. What do I do next with this useless tv.? May just put my old one back in here.
