I recently upgraded from a Samsung KS9000. I had purchased the KS9000 from Best Buy Magnolia with a four year warranty in late January 2017. I was very satisfied until around November 2018, at which point I experienced some dead pixels. Geek Squad cam out and replaced the panel. Unfortunately, the panel did not work. After two replacement panels that were defective, the third replacement panel finally fixed the issue. Around that point, the one connect began to fail, which required me to unplug the HDMI around 3-4 times per week in order to get a picture. Best Buy opted at this point to refund me for the price I paid ($2100) for the television rather than continue to work on the KS9000. I put this towards the price of the Q80R. I am very satisfied with my decision. I have owned the Q80R for four days. The setup was breeze. My wife and I set it up ourselves with no issues. The cable management system, while nice, only can fit about two HDMI cables per section. That being said, it is a nice upgrade over what the KS9000 offered. While it does not contain the One Connect box, I do not necessarily consider that a downgrade, as the issues over the one connect is what ultimately led to me replacing the KS9000. In addition, since I use a stand and do not wall mount the television, the advantages of the One Connect are somewhat neutralized. That being said, those who wall mount may feel differently from myself in this regard. Overall though, I am very satisfied with the build quality of this television. The picture quality is noticeably improved over the KS9000 in all aspects. The image appears sharper, the black levels are deeper with barely noticeable blooming, and the upconversion of my Spectrum cable is much improved over what the KS9000 offered. The most noticeable difference thus far has been in the upconversion of the Spectrum cable. The image with the Q90R appears noticeable sharper with Spectrum cable when compared to how it looked with the KS9000. In addition, when watching 4K movies. I am definitely noticing an improvement in the black levels. With the KS9000, there was noticeable vertical blooming among bright highlights against a dark background. I am noticing no such issues with the Q80R. The minor blooming that is present is barely noticeable. By that I mean you literally will need to place your face up to the television and inspect it closely to notice the small blooming that exists around the bright objects. Event then, the blooming is barely noticeable. This is a a significant upgrade coming from the KS9000. The other area where this television really excels is with the viewing angle. There is a noticeable improvement with the quality of the picture when viewing the television from an off angle when compared to the KS9000. While this may not be pertinent for some people, it is pertinent to me as I hold various social gatherings at my residence each year, usually for sporting events. That being the case, since I am usually busy entertaining guests, often times I end up being one of the people who is viewing the content "off angle". While in the past I often felt "cheated" out of the viewing experience when this happened, that will no longer be the case due to the excellent viewing angle that this television provides! Overall, I am very satisfied with this product, and am strongly recommending it to anyone who is looking for a new television. The picture quality is excellent, the black levels are deep, the viewing angles are excellent, and the input lag for gaming is superb! I highly recommend this television!

The sound lowers during high action scenes even though the audio settings are set to be true to the tv program and not adjust. The volume goes so low that I have to increase the volume from the normal 13 all the way up to 41 to hear the tv at the same volume as prior to the action scene. This will continue for up to 5 minutes. Also, at random when turning the tv back on it states there is no signal to the cable box even though nothing was touched. The fix is to unplug hdmi from tv and plug back in but then the tv asks you to set it up again.
