Wow, I can't say enough about how great this TV is. I didn't think that there was much more room for improvement to TVs. I thought that the TV industry peaked and there was no longer a reason to upgrade. The Samsung QLED Q80 has changed my mind. First off, the picture is absolutely stunning. I compared this set next to my 2 year old TV and it was not even close. The Samsung QLED Q80 had a far better picture, color, and sharpness. Even my wife, who doesn't pay attention to technology, noticed an immediate difference. She was so excited that we sat down and had movie night. The colors make the picture jump off the screen and the Q80 can do it with any lighting condition in the room (bright sun light or at night). The second thing I love about the Q80 is all the extras it has. I love ambient mode and having it blend into the background, or show our photos on screen It is a great way to use the Q80 when not watching TV. I have use the Q80 to control my smart home with the built-in smartthings access. It is great, I can turn on lights, check the garage, or even start my laundry from the TV. One of the great things is that out laundry is in the garage and we can't hear when it is done. I just pull it up on the TV and check the status. TLDR: The Samsung QLED Q80R has proven to me that there are still companies out there innovating and improving on this technology and it is a worthwhile upgrade, even if you purchased a different TV recently.

3 months after purchase, I am still waiting for my TV to be set up properly

First and foremost, we love this TV! Or at least we did until something went wrong! Hooked up to a fancy soundbar and everything worked for over two-plus years. Then something went wrong and the TV Output wouldn't stay on the HDMI/Receiver output, constantly reverting back to "TV Speakers". Geek Squad (GS) replaced the main system board, but the problem persisted. Two other GS techs have similarly offered to replace the SAME BOARD, but admit that the likelihood of success is "slim". I have now been waiting OVER 6 MONTHS with NO RESOLUTION. I'm told that the TV should be "junked out" and a replacement TV should be in play. Still Waiting! Since this was a $2600 TV, and added a $500 GS Protection Plan, I can't honestly say it was money well spent; especially for the GS Plan!

There are no threads in back of tv for wall mounting?

I have had this TV for 5 years. It has been incredible for me and works great. All smart features have been used and Bluetooth connectivity and screen mirroring even works well. Awesome TV!

While I get that Samsung is probably concentrating on making their picture the best it can possibly be, this tv is lacking in its’ “smart tv” functions. The wifi worked for about the first two hours then dropped and was never able to reconnect. No, the problem is not my wifi signal as I have never had any device drop its’ connection even out in my yard. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is totally unacceptable for a tv of this price range. To top it off apps will freeze on this tv and the only way to get them working again is a soft reset. Again, not exactly a “smart tv”. It does have a beautiful picture, but having to run more wires to my “smart tv” is frustrating (network cable) . Feels like I am going backwards. Samsung also hasn’t figured out that the buttons on the “smart” remote should light up?? Come on Samsung, I trusted that I was moving forward with you........

This tv is so much more than i expected it to be! Unboxing was easy to do. My husband and son had it setup within a hour. It replaced a 4K tv and wow what a difference! Colors are brighter, more vivid and so real looking that it seems like you could reach out and touch them! Since getting our new TV we have been very pleased with the outcome. We have had absolutely no problems with it. We have had several people come over and comment how great the picture looks and wanted to know where we got it. Watching movies on it, almost seems like your at the movie theater. It makes you not even want to leave the house!

The picture, and that is what TV is about, is outstanding...Movies are theatre like. The upconverter does a very good job of up converting 1080P broadcasts....the local dimming makes a big difference comparing to my side lit Sony. This TV looks the same at eye level and sitting below, like an above mantle installation. Bixby? Bixby is over eager...is constantly interrupting what you are watching because it thinks you are addressing him...Alexa app is the way to go for me. Sports? OMG...this thing will kill stadium ticket sales.

Great TV. Very bright. Has built in smart TV that looks good. I have directv and you can use the remote to actually navigate it. Biggest complaint is that this TV requires HDCP2.2 HDMI cables and no one tells you that. You might already have them. They are thicker, The thin HDMI cables I had previously do not work. Copyright protection issue. You can get these on Amazon for about $10. They are called 4K HDMI cable. If you put them inside the wall, you would get amazon cl3 4k hdmi.

Looking for great tv and found one. Always like samsung tv . Next ourchase will be samsung 8k

One of the best TV out there, really good quality resoultuon and no glare from the sun.

Great picture. Added Polk sound bar. The 4K stuff is useless. You only get 4K on some dish providers. Spectrum does not have it in digital cable. So you really don’t need it, cause you can’t use it. But, picture is still GREAT !!

Not a videophile by any stretch so i can speak for the untrained eye that this tv is absolutely stunning and well worth the price. Great in light and dark. No complaints. This set is everything i wanted.
