Samsung TV - Clear & bright picture / sound is low

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the Samsung 65" Class Q808 QLED 4K Smart Tizen TV for approximately 1.5 years now. This TV was a good size for my room and the picture is clear - I am a bit disappointed in the sound emitted by the TV alone. I will admit, I don't have great hearing, however, even at the highest sound settings, I find the volume / sound to be difficult to hear. Perhaps users are encouraged to set up surround sound / purchase a sound bar. I finally broke down and purchased a sound bar yesterday... In addition, there are many features / settings I am not familiar with from previous television purchases (maybe these are standard on all major brands today). At one point, a selection was mode (SAP) which resulted in a voice providing scene descriptions / overviews of the show being watched. It took me a while to figure out what mode was activated and how to disable this feature.

I wish Samsung didn’t take RCA away it makes harder to be bake to watch VCR movies or regular dvds. Converters are okay but they are as good for the picture of the tv!

Speakers are very good but I use a sound bar. If have xfinity be sure to upgrade to 4K box. Not enough noticeable difference vs OLED, and 700 in my pocket.

The sound on this set is incredible, especially the bass. No need for a sound bar. The full screen is backlit, so all the picture is beautiful.
