    I like the performance of the tv, it has great resolution, color and contrast. The menu system is not intuitive and the remote while very feature rich is small and black and easily lost in sofa cushions.

    Great tv...picked up 12/27/24. After a few days, we noticd a grey area or like a shadow. Went in and they said it probably a probem with back light..go a new one ordered and will be deleivered sat the 18th.

    Not sure if my complaint is something fixable. Waiting for call back from support, You can't record anything! Written directions say use the Record Manager, it doesn't exist. If I can't get a solution I will be returning this TV. Also the remote is tiny, very hard to find the button you want in the dark, and limited access via the remote, to get anywhere usually means several layer search,

      We're very sorry to hear of this misunderstanding. Recording and schedule recording are not supported in the U.S.A. and Canada, and you will not be able to record to directly to this TV. You will need to use an OTA (over air) DVR like one of these offered at Best Buy:  https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?id=pcat17071&st=over+the+air+dvr

      To assist in learning the various functions, please know you can download your TV's User Manual, e-Manual, Remote Control Leaflet, and Quick Setup Guide on Samsung's website under Support > Manuals & Software > TVs & Home Theater. You can search for and select the Q80D TV to download the guides you would like.

      The e-Manual and Remote Guide are both also embedded into your TV itself under Menu > Settings > Support > Open e-Manual.

    Overall great TV except when watching shows that are not HD or UHD. There can be some distortions in the colors depending on angles.
