I had originally bought the Sony but I personally found it too dark. Sooo now I have the Samsung and Im very happy. Nice bright clear picture with amazing detail and to boot I can download my xfinity app allowing me not to pay for a cable box rental . Sony does not have the ability to get the tlc app or the Xfinity app. I also like the intelligence picture feature. The picture is fantastic once I enabled this feature.

Also very easy to hook up to my existing Sonos sound bar and all streaming services easily accessed / loaded. Not to mention great picture in my brightly sunlit room! This replaced a similar Sony model I had just purchased. 110% better experience! Best Buy staff was awesome with the exchange!

I couldn’t find anyone to help me w my purchase and I was there for 30 minutes. I asked a Geek Squad person who was there and he said he couldn’t and I needed to find a store person. I was ready to walk out but went to the order checkout counter where a very helpful person assisted me in ordering my $2000 tv. TV is a 4 star but the Best Buy Services and experience are a 2.

The first one had either a defective dimming zone and or a contamination in the quantum dot film. Unacceptable that this ended up for sale but Best Buy replaced it without issue and the 2nd TV is working perfectly. The TV is quite bright though there is a firmware bug that will occasionally cause the TV to dim when it shouldn’t. Overall this is a annoyance and for me isn’t a deal breaker.

SAMSUNG 4K

Very affordable. I was fortunate to speak with a very knowledgable salesman who knew his business. When plasma first hit the scene I bought a high dollar Panasonic and this Samsung 4K exceeds in every way. I connected a Denon sound system to it so I cant really score the sound quality.

I had a fantastic Plasma TV for MANY wonderful years! Yes, I accepted the heat it gave off so I could enjoy the perfect picture quality. I even bought 2 for my home. Now this TV is fine, takes a while to get used to the bright picture, I even had the wonderful Geek Squad come out and tweak my settings because no instruction book comes from Samsung. Just read about your future TV needs and go into Best Buy and look at all the displays. I expect way more out of a TV than most people and my expectations are just off the charts LOL
